They reached the dock.
The town had been asleep for some time.
Brigitte folded her arms and sighed, staring into his eyes.
She found it hard to be mad at him.
"I'm going to bed."
She walked toward the inn, shaking her head.
Helcular sighted as he saw her walk off.
Atleast she didn't yell at him...
He started walking back to his house, just noticing how tired he was.
The door was unlocked, so Telcular was obviously waiting for him.
However he was already asleep as he entered the house.
He put the book on the nightstand as he laid down in bed, falling asleep instantly.
Morning came quickly.
Helcular awoke.
It was a quiet morning.
Too quiet.
The sun, which usually met him with a glare at this hour, was withdrawn this morning.
He sighted as he sat up.
Telcular had already rushed off somewhere..
He grabed the book and looked out the window.. wasen't very bright outside..
The door opened as he walked outside, looking around for a good place to read the rest of the book.
The sky was overcast and the air was moist.
It looked as if it would rain.
The townsfolk as well were hidden in their homes, likely expecting a drizzle.
He smiled as he could go wherever he wanted to read it.
His first to go to the tree..however he had heard rumors of lightning striking them.. and if it was about to rain, that could end horribly.
He didn't want to sit at home and read it, they had very few candles, so it would be hard to read anyway.
The inn it is, he thought as he began walking toward it.
Upon entering it he started wondering if he should get something to drink whiel reading or not..
Helcular watched her leave as he sat down for a moment..
He closed his book and hurried after, trying to catch one last glimps of her before she left, without trying to look desperate.
When Helcular arrived outside, she had already mounted her horse and was preparing to leave with her father.
The High General turned and waved goodbye to the town, riding off soon after.
Brigitte followed him, not looking back once.
Helcular bit his lip as he saw them ride away.
He sighted as he took a quick look at the Magistrate , then back at Brigitte.
Shortly after he let out a sharp whistle, trying to get her attention, hoping he didn't get the towns attention aswell.
He sighted as he watched her ride off.
Hopefully she'd be back soon..
--1 month later--
Magic filled the air.
Helcular was siting in his bed, leaned toward the wall as he was experimenting..
Frost was emerging from his hands as a small ball of ice was floating between them.
He had followed the shades advice, and was learning the ways of magic.. he could however not control the dead..yet.
His brother, Telcular, was siting on the floor infront of him, watching his every move..
Ice.
He said in a careless way.
Magical perhaps, but still just ice.
He raised his hands slowly, making sure not to lose his focus, and making sure that Telcular woulden't accidently touch it..
Magic can be used for many things..
He moved his hands higher, making the orb float above them.
It can be used for protection.. experiments..
The orb began to shake as a small powder started to fall from it, creating a small snowfall between them.
Or simple entertainment.
