    Graphics card Question

Currently Play Retail I have about 30 fps in Dalaran, and in Beta I have like 23 FPS in Hyjal, yet my computers stock card isnt good because I keep getting Display Failure on beta i am looking for a new graphics and was thinking about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102873
I also have 6 Gigs of ram and i Am looking to upgrade to 8 will that also be worth it?

Adding RAM from 6gb does nothing for WoW, it's completely wasted money. Upgrading graphics card is borderline useless also for WoW, depending on what's the current one.

Also if your FPS drops in Cata beta that much there's something wrong. Try updating your graphics drivers.

Assuming the stats here are right, you currently have integrated graphics chip, pretty old CPU and very shitty PSU.

You will get some speed improvement from better graphis card, but the PSU can't handle it. Basically your current computer has everything wrong that can be wrong in the big name OEM systems. It's not really possible to upgrade it into medium range gaming computer without extensive shopping spree. Replacing whole thing is advisable and saves you from grief.

Will a grapthics card be worth it for a while till I can buy a enw computer?

If the stats in that page is correct and you have 250W PSU, it can not handle any modern graphics card. Something like Radeon 46xx or Nvidia GT220 might work, but there are no guarantees and those cards are essentially worthless when you replace whole system.

So your saying I bought a computer from HP that was like out the day I bought it, and Its stocked with ancient parts?

It's ok for what it's meant for. General purpose email, facebook, youtube, porn and writing CV's. It's not meant for gaming, and it's not meant to be upgradeable into gaming PC. If it has been advertised as gaming computer you've been ripped off.

The lack of upgradeability is very common problem with brand computers like HP and Dell and such, and the price you pay for pre-built sleek jack-of-all-trades and master of none -computer.

That's why it's important to do research to pick out a system that meets the needs of what you want. Never walk into a big box store and ask the clueless employees there for advice. They are there to push inventory nothing more.

You can build a decent gaming computer for $500 without an OS and Monitor.
I nice computer with a decent amount for future proofing will be closer to $800.

Video is a Palit GTS450. Main display is a 24" full HD TV. Secondary display is an ACER 19" lcd at 1440x900.

Buying Parts one by one is some of the worst possible advice to give. By the time you get all the parts theres a chance that they'll be outdated or are now retailing for a cheaper price. Also by the time you finish assembling, you'll probably be past any return policy and force to hope you don't get a DOA part. Instead, make a wish list of all the parts you want, save up for it over time. When you have enough make another wishlist within that same budget, you'll probably find that you'll get better parts for the same price.
