I think the ability itself is pretty cool but I sure hope it's useful enough for such a long cooldown and manacost.

Wait... you can do this even if you're not in the same party as your target?
oh baby....
It is a bug on the Beta at the moment, the tooltip states they need to be in your party or raid group, and Ghostcrawler just posted saying that it will be group member only (group meaning party or raid group).
I shall die here. Every inch of me shall perish. Every inch, but one. An inch. It is small and it is fragile and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us.
Why do the wings appear down around the knees?
can you grip someone who's trying to cap a base flag like in ab?
how about opening containers?(treasure chests)
can you grip someone who is falling or has been launched in the air(the spikes in AN)
Sig: Left-aligned forms are the slowest of the three to complete because of the number of eye fixations they require to parse.
i would imagine it will have the same rules as deathgrip, ie it will need a path.
so you won't be able to grip someone falling through the air, or on a platform you'd need to jump to.
try deathgripping the squirrel at the algalon statue in dalaran, because of the platform it won't let you. I would expect the same limits for life grip.
I am really torn about this spell
On the one hand, it's definitely a cool concept. There's no question.
On the other, remember the saying "we can't heal stupid?" Well, I guess now we can.... For better or for worse....
Sorry to necro, lol, but in Totalbiscuit's recent video covering the new blind dragon boss, he said one of the Priest healers was on "Life Grip Duty", where they had to Leap of Faith whoever was being targeted by the dragon's fire breath.
It looks like it's getting used pretty responsibly.

It's not a necro if it adds something to the discussion. And that had been a thought to use it on that fight. I'm just not very optimistic of how often this spell will be on cooldown, considering who I'll have to be using it on on a regular basis. Ugh, I hate how low recruiting's been lately.

granted i havent seen any new videos of it, but why is it not like dk's grip? shouldnt it "pull" the target, and not just teleport them to you as in the first video on this thread?

A Death Knight's death grip is somewhat violent and necessarily so; it's an offensive ability.
I'm glad they chose this approach.
All of you, I think this should show you:

And Max Del yes I think you can with the Bases and Chests.
Thanks for the video! I'll add it to the first post.
Bleh, it sucks that you have to have a path for it to work.
