Photoshop is a pop-corn program. You get everything served to you on a silver platter, but you have absolutely no idea how you've done it. GIMP makes you work and think about different effect combinations.

I used to use GIMP for signature making. I then discovered Photoshop. I spent a week working with it. I could make things in a quarter of the time, and it was far easier once you understood all of the shiny and better looking buttons. Originally Posted by Lokann
