The pity is what gets to me nowadays. I try to tell them, "I'm happy without religion. The things making me unhappy are your overreactions to my opinions and choices," but they tend not to listen. Oh well. :/
That vid's hilarious. I love satire and parody. XD
Anyways, after a much longer hiatus than expected, I'm back. And amazingly in one piece. Okay, so what had happened was I ended up having a migraine on Feb. 22. But this migraine decided to be different and last for about 6 days. Luckily, the worst of it was over the day it occurred, but each morning I woke up with a migraine-like headache. They got less and less bad as the days went on, but it was still tiring.
On Feb. 27 the roofer came to fix a couple of shingles. Problem was, I didn't even know he was here because he was working on the other side of the house and doing a very small patch job. I was in the middle of writing to someone when all of a sudden there was this loud bang, then my grandma screaming and crying for someone to call 911. From upstairs it sounded like someone had broken the door down, and because my family has been getting threats of burglary since last year, and my grandma sounded like she was hurt, I immediately thought someone had broken in. I called out asking what was going on, incase my thoughts were incorrect. All I heard was more hysterics and 'call 911.' So I calmed myself, grabbed my large bookcase and pushed it in front of the door, then pushed my smaller bookcase in front of the other one for good measure, picked up my phone and tried to call either my mom or dad. I couldn't get through.
Suddenly someone started jiggling the door handle and all I thought was, "Oh fuck no, there is no way I'm gonna be getting my head blow off by some stupid burglar." Then I heard my grandma yelling at me through the door, asking why I had locked it. I quickly pushed the bookcases back and came out of my room. She started fucking reaming on me, saying, "You're so fucking stupid for locking your door. Why did you do that?"
I was tired of taking shit from her and just yelled, "I had no idea what was going on. All I heard was screaming and crying and 'call 911.' What was I supposed to do."
She just screamed back, "The roofer fell off of our roof." I was finally able to put two and two together and figure out that the horrible smash was him and the ladder falling. My relief then quickly morphed into panic. All I was thinking was, "Oh my god, what if he broke his back?" I felt so bad for him. So, the whole 911 shebang showed up and got him to the hospital. Luckily, he's okay, just really bruised.
Now, about those bookcases...I still can't believe that I had enough adrenaline to move those things, but I did. For my size I'm strong, but those bookcases were filled to the brim with huge art books and novels and the like.
Anyways, I was so tired after the incident that all I could do was hug my cat and stare at the wall for a bit. I wasn't shocked about him falling; I've seen enough people with nasty fractures, lacerations and what not. It's the fact that he could've been killed. I felt so bad. The headache came back, but then the next day finally, fully disappeared. But then my whole right side flared up with muscle pain, and I've just gotten over it. Argh...I'm exhausted.
So here's my deviantArt: http://hitsujifox.deviantart.com/
and some of the stuff I was finally able to sort out:
A little while ago I was angry, so I got out my tablet and began to vent through my art, and this is what came out of it.
I really, really tried to get used to the female worgen, but after drawing concept after concept, and seeing more and more alpha female worgen pictures pop up, I threw my hands up in the air and said "fuck this shit."
Ever since they released the final model, I've forced myself to be completely level-headed about it. I never started arguments with anyone on forums, I never said anything too bad about the model, and I never said how I really feel. But, that one day, I was just angry enough about other things in my life that I decided to let out my emotions on this tiny, unrelated thing.
I'm about to be brutally honest. I friggin' hate that model. I think it's cheap and stupid. Sorry Blizz. I really like almost everything else about your game, and the Sons of the Storm are awesome, but this...this model is just plain crap.
Goodness, it's like something Rob Liefeld would draw, and I'm sure that Blizz would not want to be compared to that fool.
I was bored one day and decided to draw a gorgonops (night elf) druid form. Badass.
I know that it doesn't look completely anatomically correct. I actually based the anatomy off of some old synapsid diagram I found while trekking the interwebs.
I was watching a documentary called 'Prehistoric Predators: Killer Pig' on youtube, and was inspired by the awesomeness that is Archaeotherium to draw up some worgen mounts.
It's pretty much the same as its real world counterpart, and only has some minor differences on the head.
Whenever I draw or see night elves I can't help imagining that they came from some sort of bat-like ancestor, instead of an ape-like ancestor, like humans.
They got long ears, they live in trees, they're nocturnal (primarily), and long-limbed.
Happy (super) Belated Valentine's Day!![]()
My worgen/orc, Kieran, and some worgen guy (I randomly came up with a little while ago) enjoying a fresh, steaming caribou carcass that they hunted together. D'aww.
(Epic tug o' war in 3-2-1)
Me and my man had caribou once. Tasted amazing. The only difference was that ours was cooked and served artistically on a plate of fine china.
(I would recommend going to my deviantart and downloading the image, because this smaller version decided to skew the colours)
This is just a quick painting of Shamira's (my orc huntress) youngest son (have orc, half blood elf) with his little fox kit. He's a young, vampish Warlock-in-training, and doesn't take shit from anyone, even if they're twice his weight and height. He doesn't have a name yet, but I'll figure one out.
I know that the right arm is messed up, but I don't want to go back and fix it. :/
Got the pose from: http://violetivory.deviantart.com/ga...et=120#/dm4biq
(This is another one I would recommend downloading the full view)
Once again it's the unnamed worgen (who I've decided is a druid), and Kieran, a shaman, engaged in a courtship dance in their flight forms (yes, I know shamans don't have a flight form, but that's just game mechanics. If they can shift into wolves they can surely shift into a bird). Aw, how sweet. So sweet I think my teeth are gonna rot.
And, of course, I didn't forget the 'blue child.'
I used http://simplybackgrounds.deviantart....Sky-4-79323798 this picture to get an idea of what kind of sky I wanted to do, since I sometimes have trouble with choosing whether I want evening, night, day, or whatever. But I saw that photo and thought it was so pretty and perfect.
This guy is just a random night elf-worgen with some primitive chiropteran traits (I like to imagine that night elves had a bat-like ancestor, and apparently traits 'lost' in evolution can reappear later on again).
I haven't developed this character very much yet. All I know is that he doesn't have very good manners, and tends to sniff female backsides without any permission whatsoever. He's a little creepy, but friendly...maybe a little too friendly.
Phew, that's a lot. I'm in the process of cleaning up some more stuff, so hopefully nothing will happen and I'll be able to get them up sooner.

Ah, I love the colour of the phoenix.
I also love that even though the phoenix is big and bright, and the woman is small, her dark armour makes her stand out. Both figures complement one another beautifully.

OOOOOOOOOINK! Think of all the pork and bacon jokes as you're riding into battle!
*waits* Yeah I can't think of any but I know someone would. I'd name my pig mount, Truffles.
And of course thank you for the compliment. It's always good to hear I did something right P:
/sick of soft-porn-manga-style-denuded-women - some of them are actually quite ... awkward, some paedophiles in here ?
But there are here some great pieces too ! Keep up the good job and maybe one day we'll get rid of the fantasy-pornography.
I wouldn't say pedos. Most of the picture posted are not done by the posters but you do gotta question a few of the artists but hey w/e floats their boat. Poor lonely boys.
Kidding.
lol. Truffles is perfect.
You're welcome.

I can sort of see where you're coming from, and anime-style art isn't my 'thing,' but I can't knock it. What's wrong with a little porn or cheesecake?I know that some porn can be a little over the top, but if you look hard enough there's some really good stuff out there.
Okay, that sounded sort of wrong. What I meant by 'good stuff' was that there are art pieces showing sexual activity that are beautifully painted. You just gotta look.![]()
Props to all of the artist that have posted! Keep up the good work! I enjoy looking at the art.
These are great! Zaebrael, your phoenix is beautiful!
And Rachel your *montage of pictures* was also superb! I can't help but wonder at how most of your pictures with the worgen hybrids and all that can be so ugly, but artistically beautiful. I applaud all art in this thread!
@Rachel, awesome pieces again! your ideas of new or combined races and creatures amaze me again and again
i especially like the bat-elf-thing this time.
and the female worgen is hilarious xD
also, i guess that story would have made most people feel quite bad :/
*patpat*
1) nudity =/= soft porn. neither is sexualized dressing.
2) would you care to point out an example for paedophilia in here? because i fail to remember any.
i can understand that some people are annoyed and/or offended by the oversexualization of female characters in (fantasy) games, and sometimes i am too, in extreme cases. but throwing random insults at random people is most likely not the best way to deal with it.
Remember sex sales.
Compare how many people would rather play or see a movie with an attractive female over a not so attractive female. We're vain creatures. Sadly it doesn't help that we've been raised one way or another to scorn fat or bigger women, even men in some cases. Depends on your background completely though. Take Adele (the singer) for example. She is a bigger woman but she is indeed beautiful both body and voice (subjective) but if I had a choice to play a character with her body type compared to a more comparative thinner type, I'd choose the thinner type. That is not to say I prefer twigs or super model bodies though, I actually like "average" female body types like in WoW's case either human, night elf, or orcs. Plump them just a LEeeeeeeettttle bit and there we go.
Humans are built on sex as are all living things. It's how we survive as a species. We need sex in our lives and that's why we have Rule #34. Regardless of what it is, someone is going to sexualize something...like Furniture.
EDIT:
TL : DR - Accept that there's gonna be scantly drawn wymmins
First time posting here so be gentleThis is what I started last night while on Standby for the guild raid, some of my line work is still showing and not quite sure on the hair atm but pretty pleased with it so far.

I don't believe people complaining about scantily clad women are in denial of the fact that *people* like to look at nice things. However, its appears that often in fantasy art or game design, in that sentence *people* gets substituted for *men* and that is what is easy to take offense to. Defining this approach to designing female characters and clothing as what is normal and human nature just alienates all those who don't share the taste of the designer and while I am perfectly happy going with "different strokes for different folks" as a general rule and can appreciate somebody's art even if I don't personally share their idea of beauty, I find it frustrating when people try to form a general consensus on what is attractive for *everybody*, especially when I get the impression that I don't really figure into their definition of "everybody".
Add to that numerous occasions where the design goes beyond attractiveness and becomes sexualised and you'll quickly find that the woman as eye-candy image gives off the idea that that is all women are there for. Its rather infrequent that you see overly sexualised depictions of male characters (compared to female characters), rarer even that you'll find male characters missing bits of armour to cleverly show off skin (or perhaps show their enemies where to point their swords/arrows/magic missiles for maximum effect). I will concede that there are a number of bare chested images of male characters, although I'm not certain if they have the same intention as bikini-clad female characters: it seems rather that women are drawn sexy to appeal to (certain) men, men are depicted as strong - which also appeals to (those) men. While its a bonus if these things also appeal to women, it doesn't appear to be their primary goal.
Now, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with this style as personal taste. I myself sometimes like to look at pretty women (or men!) in nice outfits or even appreciate the humour in having a tiny little blood elf in a plate bikini beat up a dragon the size of the Eiffel Tower, but the sheer amount of scantily clad, drop-dead gorgeous female characters can get rather wearing and I'd appreciate more diversity. I believe that its also important to look beyond personal taste into what ideas such imagery can evoke and whether or not there is a cultural effect (rather than the biological one you surmise) that leads to (and is in turn reflected by) sexualised depictions of female characters. To put it bluntly: what message does it convey about our attitude towards women if we insist on designing female characters to be predominantly sexy? I'm not sure I can comfortably accept such a concept in a world where real women suffer from similar and/or far worse attitudes towards them and their status as human beings throughout the world.
