    Re-thinking my build...

    So after re-thinking my build becauase I'm very indecisive, how does this look/enough power/cooling fine?

    Looks fine for the most part. RAM could be faster to allow overclocking in the future.

    For gaming purposes i7 is overkill, and you could save £100 by tuning down to i5 build.

    Righto, I seem to be fixated on the i7 for some reason.

    One more thing to consider: I've heard that Intel's next high-end processor lineup will be using a different socket than the LGA1366 they currently use. If you're looking for something that you'll be able to upgrade a little farther down the line, you may want to go with an i5 just for the ability to upgrade it later.

    If you want to upgrade to anything sandy bridge related later you should be prepared to upgrade your motherboard anyway since LGA1155 will be replacing LGA1156 and there will be no backward-compability.

    .. and OP's i7 was an 1156 CPU anyway, not 1366. EDIT. mb this was changed and LGA1366 might've been in before I read the thread. mkay sry.
