    Youtube video

I did some nice videos in the past but technology evolves. We are now in the HD era and stuff.

Now i do have a good pc with a 22" widescreen monitor but it never shows in my videos.... especially when i post them on Youtube. I know FRAPS is doing the job but my main beef is with my video editing software. Moviemaker is a good basic tool but on Youtube , the final product isnt HD and shows big black bar on the left and right as seen in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoBjItP0AlY. Dont judge me on my skill , just got back in the game after 2 months (lots of clicking )... forgot most of my bindings. Still left with a 7-0 record in the time frame.

I tried Vegas Pro but it doesnt seem to support 1680x1050 ratio ... all my exports in vegas pro are either fractals or badly interlaced video.Am I missing something ?

My message is to everyone who can put good quality HD videos on Youtube , what's your trick ?

export your video at the same resolution than the source, it won't be distorted, and use 16:9 resolutions.

Cant view your video because my net is screwing up.

I use 16:9 ratio with Sony Vegas and have made a few videos on wow bosses. I followed Nolans Rendering Tutorial.

Works good, you can experiment from there.

edit: www.youtube.com/gospeltom if you want to see the HD quality, like 300 mb per 10 mins of vid

This tutorial is a bit old, he is using sony vegas 8, last time i checked it was 10, maybe higher now.

And you have no need to change the codec now, the ones included with the standard software are ok, i'm exporting as wmv. Just set the resolution to your ingame resolution and play with the sound/video quality export, that's all.
