I think they might just be updating all the portals. The new mage spells had a level restriction for the users, so I wouldn't find it at all surprising if they went back and updated all the other ones to stop lowbies from using them.

Very disappointing, I don't want it to be released it so near the christmas holidays, as I'd like to do other things than play WoW then.

We haven't got any (real) new content for a far too long time, and I'll probably end up cancelling my account for a couple of months for the first time if this turns out to be true.

You're worrying about nothing, you need to look the iLvL of the two items you're showing us. You're comparing a blue PvE 346 to an epic PvP 365. Procure an epic PvE 365 to hold up to the PvP one -- I'm certain that the stats will be superior for PvE content.

Do you play beta and/or ptr? There is plenty of reason not to release it on nov. 2nd. It's not nearly finished. That has nothing to do with marketing or wanting money. I would rather have it a few weeks later then full of bugs and unfinished stuff.

While I too thought November 2nd was a bit early I do believe they wanted a November release.

That being said, all other reports indicated that the game wasn't ready for prime time yet...they've only had a 1st pass on many of the various spec's talents and even more worrisome it appears the world phasing mechanics, an integral part of Cata, are still very buggy.

December is not a great date for releasing a product, what with school exams and other Xmas activities (visiting relatives etc) but at least it shows they still care enough to push back a release date for quality control purposes and for that I give them some credit.

The converse is true... if the pvp gear sucks people will just pvp in pve gear.

The PvP helm is not superior to gear you get in Heroics. Blue items that will come from Heroics will be level 365 and ultimately better-itemized than the PvP gear.

Also, you still need to compare a 365 epic to the 365 epic before you panic. They're not available in the Database yet.

1) These are cata items. You're not actually supposed to walk into an expansion with currency enough to fit you with a full set of i346 blues within 5 minutes /played of dinging 85.
2) You will get Justice Points from instances at 85.

im pretty sure Saving up on Frost and Triumph now won´t get you far at the vendor when hitting 85, and if you spend time grinding those emblems now for when you hit 85... not time well spent.

Sick of hearing this crap from people that are playing the beta. The vast majority of WoW players that weren't lucky enough to get in the Beta would rather play a buggy and unfinished Cataclysm than more months and months of a raid tier that has already gone on twice as long as it should have.

So you're saying that Heroics will drop iLevel 365 blues? I'm sorry, ut that's... Wrong. Heroic blues will be the ones seen up there - i346. The first tier of raids will be 359, and as is usual, the first tier of PvP will be ½ tier above the first raid tier. And as I said, it's subject to interpretation but I find the PvP gear at least equal to the PvE gear as it stands.
