PvP: Assassination + Glyph of Rupture. Why?

I've seen a few top rogues spec'd assassination and all of them were using the rupture glyph (along with muti and vendetta). My question is: why use rupture, being assassination spec'd anyway?

Wouldn't the glyph of SnD be a better choice? Or am I supposed to use rupture? If so - why?

snd is refreshed when you envenom, rupture isn't. Logically you don't need extra duration on something that is refreshed automatically fairly often.

I understand, but still - why would one waste cp's for rupture, being Assass spec'd? As for SnD, atleast you actually use it and glyphing it over rupture would make more sense, since the latter doesn't see much use with this tree. Or am I wrong?

Off topic, could anyone link to a good Assassin build for PvP? Just curious, I am Sub right now but I am wanting to try Assassination out.

It's because of Venomous Wounds http://www.wowhead.com/spell=79134. Combined with this, rupture ticks for about 2k on 0 resi, restoring energy also, so its a really usefull for pvp.

Litreocola from AJ suggested a good spec (can't link it, it's on the AJ-Rogue forums).

I haven't tried it out yet, so I'm not sure how good it is but I'd swap imp. EA for Blackjack though, that's for sure.

I agree, that spec Litre posted there is the exact same thing I was going for. I took Blackjack over Imp EA as well.

Hm, TBH blackjack is kind of sucky. The first 6-10 seconds of a fight your enemy won't be doing shit anyway, so why take it?

Thats it. Rupture was buffed for Assass. Its worth keeping up now.

Unless you play with Priest or Lock and can fear people out of combat mid fight and Vanish sap them like a good Rogue should? It depends on what kind of PVP you're doing and what comp you have.

You don't have to pick and choose DN for a specific talent because you could take DN over Ruthlessness and keep BJ or EA. Even in WotLK people would pick up Deadened Nerves if they had survivability problems so think of the trade off for burst or extra damage for whatever your comp is best suited for.
