Racial trinket has been nerfed to 3 mins.Having an actual trinket is better now

What you're looking at is snare removal, small target vs. 2% ranged/melee miss, shadowmeld.

Yes, the gnome racial is that good as a warrior

I'd advise Night Elf, the combat animations are pretty awesome, especially in PvP, they look great in the armor sets and Shadowmeld actually has quite a lot of advantages in both PvE and PvP.
