Lmao, I literally JUST texted ChaCha (free KGB service) about this. They said it's because the way the Cataclysm will change Azeroth is much like the way the bombing of Pearl Harbor changed the world. "insensitive, yes. But there you have it." that's what I was thinking too.

These kind of threads always baffle me. So what if it's released on that particular day? If it's that significant for you, then just don't get the game that day and wait to play. If it's about the Cataclysm itself, that's happening earlier. Any day of the year will have significance for some people or many people, and it's not their job to release the game on the most inconsequential day of the year. It's your job to order your priorities and play the game then or not.

As you may have noticed if you read my entire post, is that those events have all happened on December 7th (Take a look at the URL after "According to", it clearly says "December_7") Also, I pointed out why they would be related to Cata's release date with the boldfaced parts.

One would think that the obviously sarcastic image at the VERY TOP of the post, the last sentence saying "But seriously, it's just a coincidence." and the obviously exaggerated "I'M SEEING A PATTERN HERE, GUYZ! omgomgwtfbbq!!1!!11~" and "*GASP*" would be enough warning signs to inform the reader of the point that I was trying to make.
But as we can see from your post, you are unable to comprehend these things.
