    Audio Recording Software

I'm intending to hold a guild meeting over vent and would like to find some program that can record it so that I can post in on the guild website for those who cannot make it.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to a good way of doing this?

    Many thanks

Yeah I've got audacity, but I've only managed to get it to record what I'm saying. Any way to make it record what everybody is saying?

You probably have to choose the proper recording device in audacity first. It also depends on your OS.

I'm using Windows 7 and, being a fool, I can't work out how to change the recording device. How is that done?

In audacity click edit -> preferences -> devices and as record device "stereo mix".

I have no option to do that, only my headset and Microsoft Sound Mapper

there are a ton of tutorials on google for how to enable stereo mix and set it as your default sound device. one hint would be the 'sounds' section in the control panel

Thank you very much, I shall set about doing that now.

Right, I've managed to get the stereo mix thingy going and set it as the recording device, but it's still not recording anything. What have I done wrong?
