Almost no one uses the I form or other FB reliant sets anymore. Running backs are so ridiculously fast and athletic now that they don't necessarily need a guy to open a hole for them in most offensive schemes. If you run the more old school pro form, I form offense like the Ravens do you still need a great fullback, but if you run a more passing oriented offense you can get away without having a good FB or one at all. The Lions used their third TE last year as their FB in the rare situation they used one.

According to PFT, Morris Claiborne got a FOUR on the Winderlic test. I love how the only ones to ever leak are the ridiculously low scores you would expect from an elementary student, not a kid who went to a state college for three years.

Jags new jersey from Jasinsider: lockerz.com/s/198171597 new collar, not much else is different.

Wow, I just looked through the "new" as they call it, uniforms. Sorely disappointed. Outside of the seahawks, they changed nothing. I was hoping to see some crazy looks like what they did with Oregon.

Ya there was a whole lot of build up for absolutely nothing. The jerseys all look almost identical they just weigh half as much lol. Grats Nike on going through having a big media conference to unveil the jerseys and then unveiling the Reebok jerseys with the Reebok tag removed lol.

The lack of such jersey inspirations as making Oregon's jersey numbers have the same sheen as a mallards feathers is disappointing.

In some fairness, NFL team jerseys are kinda tricky to update sometimes. Heck itll be decades before you see a radical change to uniforms like the Steelers, colts, 49ers or Cowboys. These teams havent had real big changes to their uniforms for a long time, and when they did change them, they almost immediately went back to what worked before. It would be like Alabama or Penn State changing their unis.

Pretty big fan of the new Seahawks jerseys. I really like how they brought out more of the green in them. Should look great contrasted on the field.

I dunno why some of the pictures have the home jersey and the away pants mixed up, but they should both be blue or white.

I don't know why they would be complaining its April and people are talking about the Seahawks and those jerseys are what younger fans will want to wear and now your building up your fan base out of the state/city. They (the fans on facebook) have to understand that the Seahawks are a small market team and need all the help they can get and this helps alot it's putting them on the map atm.

Seattle is the 14th largest market in the US, 16thish in the Us (2x in New York and Bay area, CA). Small market? Seattle has had sold out or near sold out attendance for years so the hype argument is pretty moot. They changed it because it is Nike and Seattle is the PacNW team. That is really the only reason lol. The Seahawks have about 0 megastars that push jerseys so the changes are going to increase sales though.

Seattle is still considered a small market when you compare them to New York,LA,Boston,Chicago and I know he has Oregon and Stanford ties but what does that have to do with Seattle except there on the same coast and same college division but this is the NFL its a bit bigger then a college division. I haven't seen a Seachicken jersey popular since probably S.Alexander and it wasn't like it was a top 5 or 10 selling jersey or anything so this change will help a lot.

Huh? Relatively speaking, unless you really know the old Seahawks jersey you won't notice anything major. The people that are bitching are the same ones that want to old style and logo back. I really don't think a simple jersey change will "put them back on the map." What people really care about is how the team performs. Honestly, Pete and John have built the team up very well in the past two years, considering the down fall since the 05 season and Jim Mora fucking up a lot. This season looks to be decent for us. I see us going positive this time around. Though, this year also looks much more tough.

The Seahawk fanbase isn't really just to Washington, just rather the entire Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Hell if you look at the radio affiliates they stretch all the way to Montana and BC. The CEO of Nike is a fan of the Seahawks, but it definitely wasn't handed to them for free or anything. You also can't forget that the Seahawks are owned by Paul Allen, who isn't really small.

What I was talking about putting them on the map is when you look at the national media they talk usually about east coast and L.A. teams usually. This story has the national media talking about the Seahawks in April which is amazing, NBA season is about to hit the playoffs and baseball season just started and we are talking about NFL jersey's that's insane it lets you know how much the NFL dominates the US.

I can see and agree with that. Hell, when the Seahawks got into the Super Bowl (I wasn't so much into the football stuff back then) Madden pretty much called the Seahawks a shit team. Well, they made it to the Super Bowl so obviously they are doing something right. Thank god that blob retired from announcing after that. I still have my cards on the 49ers dominating the NFC this season though. They just look amazing on paper.

Its true the NFL dominates the US though. Even myself. I find other sports just kinda bland. I can watch basketball alright, but baseball is so boring to me. Football is a lot more fast paced, intense, hard hitting. I just don't get that thrill from too many other sports.

    Gregg Williams Bounty Audio

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhnn9kbqQUA

... He doesn't sound like a football coach, he sounds like a fucking lunatic. There's going to be retaliation from this and it's not going to be pretty. I'd like to point out that the Brees targeted Newton on the Panthers for this bounty, but were unsuccessful. I'm not sure if the Saints had a momentary lapse in judgement as the Panthers have Jon. Fucking. Beason. who hits like Harrison and will come out for Brees. I can't say I blame anyone that the Saints had a bounty on, including Bowman / Willis after what he said about Gore and Smith, if they hit him late and in the head. Brees will be hit, and it will be violent. The Saints are going to be fucked for a long time, and they're going to have to deal with late hits against their team and Ingram / Sproles.

    And I can't say I'm upset.

Im amazed Gooddell has kept a cool head, Sean Payton has been stalling to buy time and the appeal is simply evidence of it. Gooddell is just calmly holding it together and not showing his hand. The question is how hard will the hammer come down on Payton and other Saints personnel after this appeal.

"This is how you get respect in this league."

Yeah... wow. Thats pretty fucking sick. At first I thought the lifetime ban was a little harsh, but after hearing that there is no question that guy should never be involved with the NFL again.

I have absolutely no problem with teams playing hardnosed, strong football. That, however, is a whole other level of fucked up and disgusting. Talking about taking someone's ACL out? I'll be surprised if Williams ever coaches in the NFL again.

The hammer already came down. Appealing it isn't going to do anything and even Payton doesn't think it will be overturned, he just wants more clarification of what he can and can not do this year.

The Williams audio is pretty damning. Some of the stuff isn't that shocking, like saying to take out Gore, Smith, etc. but when you are indicating you will be paying for the first high hit on Smith it crosses a big line. It gets even worse when you start telling guys to target the ACL of a guy or the head of a recently concussed player. You aren't just aiming to take a guy out of a game at that point, you are fucking with his entire career. Makes you realize how much of a complete joke the player's union is when its members are willing to try and intentionally end the career of fellow union members.

He won't ever coach in the NFL in any respect again. Even if Goodell lifts his ban no team is going to hire him because of the massive PR backlash. Look at the Colts last year. They went through tons of shit when they hired Tressel and he was probably the 8th most responsible person for the violations at OSU of kids trying to make some money and get free shit because the college won't pay them. That is such a minor offense compared to what Williams did and people were dragging them through the mud for hiring him as a freaking consultant.

Ed Reed does a mini-interview and answers his own questions.

While amusing, I have to say his act is getting old. This guy has pretty much been complaining on-and-off about 'not getting respect' from the Ravens (i.e., he wants more money) since before the ink was even dry on his last contract. Mind you, this is a guy that went and had major offseason neck surgery without even telling the team not too long ago. I love Reed, but he's coming off a not-so-great season, he's on the tail end of his career and he's basically one bad hit away from being paralyzed. Even stranger is that he's whining yet again despite the fact that the Ravens are hard up against the Cap, Ray Rice and Joe Flacco (both in their primes) need new extensions and their are huge gaping holes on the offensive line ... yet Reed somehow thinks they should pay him first over everyone else.

Honestly, I see the Ravens taking a FS in the first 3 rounds of the draft, either this year or next.

What I can't comprehend is that he was that openly blatant about it in a team speech despite the fact that he knew there was a camera in the room, the league's continued effort to cut down on un-necessary injuries and the team had already been lieing to the league about their bounty system for quite awhile.

    Moron. lol

Apparently, Gleason was 'hurt' by the fact that Sean Pamphilon released the audio tapes. Claims a breach of trust on the part of Pamphilon and gives a 'sad story' about his ilness and how the team has supported him. Not trying to make light of ALS because it's a very serious disease, but I find it amusing that he conveniently forgets to mention the fact that he was sitting in on a team meeting/speech that, even a retarded monkey could tell you, went blatantly against NFL rules.

A bit of non-news at this point, but it looks like the Broncos were shopping Tebow around during the Combine. Well before Manning was even available.

In other Broncos News, it looks NoShow Moreno is the odd man out as they're looking to add another RB.

Looks like the Ravens are still pretty far apart on extensions for QB Joe Flacco and RB Ray Rice. Rice has already said he has no plans to attend off season workouts until he has a new deal. Not sure if he just meant OTA's or if he meant Training Camp too.
