And I'll be the first one to agree with you here. Troy had a very poor post season this year, and didn't preform up to his standards. That being said, Matthews' only impact last night was an incidental fumble. The pressure on Ben last night was non-existent, and only gave up one sack on Big Ben.

Again, I already said, you guys played a ton better than the Steelers did last night. I'll be the first one to admit that, but your offense won you that game, not your defense. Sacking Ben once with a walk-on center isn't impressive, and Matthews did shit all for most of the game, except cause one fumble.

Great logic there, put in what he did in the post season and make it somehow affect what he did in the regular season. I like it when people don't make any sense. Troy's play during the regular season won him that award, not in the post season. He had game-changing plays in three separate wins that helped the Steelers get their 12-4 record.

Again, other than the one turnover, Matthews had very little impact on the game on a beat-up 'Frankenstein' offensive line.

You make yourself sound like a complete idiot when you post on here. Also, go look at the ghost holding calls against the Steelers in the first half, 'cause it's actually kinda funny. I didn't really expect anything more from a Dallas fan though. Typical Cowboy clown, right?
No. I just love how easy it is to get under your skin. =)

This game was exactly why I love football so much. The Steelers clearly had the advantage in so many areas, and most importantly in experience, yet they did not match Green bay's enthusiasm and "show up to play" factor. Great game, and it goes to show you that anything can happen in the playoffs. 'Til next season!

Bad, anything can happen in football, anytime. Look at the Browns vs. Patriots.
As with the majority of the playoff games, it was a tale of two halves. Did people like steal Cam Cameron's idea? If any team wants the real Cam, we'll happily give him to them!
I want an O-coordinator that is better, not that that is difficult to find. It didn't make sense that we fired Zorn because 'The offense did poorly', and kept Cam, what the deuce?
It was a good game, but I wanted the defenses to get more bone crunching hits in, ah well. Next time, next time.

Steelers will be back. They have a young healthy solid team, I don't see them losing anyone huge soon. I'm not sure of their players contracts but I can't imagine that all the big players like Roethlisberger, Polamalu, Woodley, Harrison, and Mendenhall wouldn't be re-signed.

I feel like Aaron needed this one more than Ben. Yeah, Ben wants his 3rd ring to join the "greats", and I see him getting it and possibly a 4th to join Terry Bradshaw, but I am sick of hearing Favre this Favre that. Aaron needed this win/mvp to kill all the speculation.

I hope there is a next season. The Steelers' experience didn't come in to play, because the Steelers didn't come to play. I'm extremely disappointed with the efforts from the entire team, but mostly on Troy. He didn't make any impact in the game, and actually gave up two TD's. Mendenhall's fumble was costly, but the game was over before then. Ben's effort in the first half was pathetic, and his two picks were game changing.

The Steelers have a better team, but didn't show it on Sunday.

I wish this was true. Their defense is aging, and we need to get some CB's more than anything. Our LB and Safties are ridiculous, yes, but our CB's are where our secondary is weak. Taylor and Gay just aren't the kind of players that can play for the Steelers. We shouldn't resign Taylor after this season, but get a CB from the draft and let Troy watch over him. If they do keep Ike, they need to let Gay go. He's average on a good day, and only has one big play all year.

I feel that Ben needed this win. After the season that he had, I felt that this win would have made everyone forget about the "rape" (lol, k show me evidence). He's young enough that he's going to get that 3rd and 4th ring, but I thought this one was a necessity. As for Favre, I'm more impressed with Rodgers than Favre. Maybe it's because I've seen Favre's career go downhill and didn't see him in his prime. Who knows.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the best team shows up on Sunday when it matters most. Aaron Rodgers deserved the win WAY more than Ben Roethilisberger (sp?). Aaron = hardworking, dedicated, and you don't see him out partying the week of the superbowl. Ben on the other hand... well, he got what he deserved. Bottom line - Packers were prepared, Steelers weren't.

You're right, the team that plays better on Sunday is going to come out with a W. That being said, it was an upset. I don't care what the numbers said, because anyone with half a brain was calling that an upset. As for deserving it more, you can't just list qualities and say he automatically deserves it more. Brady is all of those things, and lost to an immature, childish Mark Sanchez.

I knew the Ben hate would come. Keep talking though, it makes you look like an idiot when he wasn't even charged.

I thought that too. The Packers gave him the ball back with a minute-something on the clock up by 6, something they didn't want to do. No one wants to do, and Ben couldn't seal it. Was it Pass Interference on Wallace? Probably - but I'm not going to blame the refs as I don't cheer for the Cowboys.

Anyway - let the offseason discussion begin. Do you guys think there's even going to be a season next year?

We have some minor news come out from Cinci / Pittsburgh -

"The Arizona Cardinals have hired Steelers DBs coach Ray Horton as their new defensive coordinator. Horton was the team's secondary coach for seven seasons, and he also played CB for Dick LeBeau in Cincinnati and was an assistant coach under him there for five years before re-joining him in Pittsburgh." - Steelers News.

There's also a union meeting tomorrow, Thursday February 10 2011. Let's hope they make progress, I don't know what I'm going to do if there's no season next year.

The Tennessee Titans head coach of 15 seasons, Jeff Fisher, was released from the Titans earlier this week. The Titans have recently signed Mike Munchak for a two-year head coaching deal.

(I'll only update major news, nothing like minor signings and etc. I'll probably do anything Pittsburgh, too. Apologies in advance.)

Poster above me really does like to call other people names. I'd hate to know him/her/it in real life because it probably has a potty mouth.

But I do find it rather funny that he was accused of trying to sexually assault a female twice. Oh no, he wasn't charged! Still doesn't mean he did not do it.. He probably paid off the chick to keep her mouth shut. I wouldn't be surprised with a character like Ben.

So was Sanchez. As was Rivers. Theirs wasn't made public because they're average QB's with no rings. Rivers had a great year - don't expect the same thing Charger fans.

I like the fact that you're a Cowboy fan, but criticize the Steelers' character. Go ahead and look at the past of Dallas, and look at the accusations of rape, spousal abuse and drug addiction rampant in their franchise. Then, look at the Steelers' history. Did Ben screw up? Definitely. He was almost traded because the Rooney family doesn't tolerate that.

Hypocrisy at it's finest, I guess.

If he did it - prove it please. You seem to be more knowledgeable than the police, even the state of Georgia. This isn't a "did Ben rape that chick" forum, it's a news forum. As for "calling people names", thanks mom. When people say stupid things, I call them out on it.

It's crazy how they got rid of the running back from Arkansas Peyton Hillis. I know he didn't do that well there which is crazy because Denver always has a good O Line not sure about last few years but usually they do. Anyways they get rid of him and last year what did he have like 1200 yards with the Browns crazy.
Anyways what do u all think about the Strike yall think it's going to happen or to much money in the NFL for a strike.

I hope that they realize that not having a season will lose more money than if they actually compromise on something.

Also, Hillis was one of the guys that 'The Destroyer" McDaniels got rid of. I am sure that many, many Denver fans were glad to see him gone.

    YUP. It's pretty sad, too.
