If you all hate hearing about the incarnation of greatness that is Tim Tebow now, just wait until next week when he puts up 400 yards and 5 TDs on that hilariously terrible Patriots defense.

Sarcasm or not there, I would actually like seeing the Broncos have an easy win somewhere. Not that I mind these nail-biters, but them never being up before the fourth quarter means something is wrong, regardless of wins. Just one game.

If Dallas can find the right head coach, then I'd think they would do a lot better. Believe or not, Tony Romo Is actually very good. But he needs a freaking head coach that knows offense. Dallas has a great WR core and a fantastic TE. The Defense Is excellent. But none of that matters when a team Is unpredictable, and Dallas Is Incredibly unpredictable.

They're going to have to start playing mistake-free offense. Tebow HAS to connect better on third down attempts. His receivers cannot be dropping six passes (like Thomas' dropped touchdown pass that was perfectly thrown). They also have to stay healthy -- although McGahee is great, he's not the answer if he can only be reliable for half the games. Unless that happens, Tebow is going to keep needing a lot of help from his defense and special teams to get wins.

Or does it say that much about Payton Manning I mean Big Ben missed a lot of last year and they did good and same goes for the pats when Brady was out for a year they still ended up going to the playoffs.

No, the Pats missed the playoffs in 08.


Also, I can't get enough of Gronkowski. I want to see him score every time he gets the ball in his hands. I think I read somewhere that he had 13 broken tackles today. He needs 1 more multi-TD game to tie Jerry Rice and a second one to tie Moss.

At least the Cowboys didn't ice their own kicker this time, but yeah. Those ridiculous penalties on defense plus the missed FG... Unbelievable how they managed to melt down in the end yet again.

Tonight also cemented my already deep hatred for Cris Collinsworth who I am now convinced keep a shrine to Eli Manning in his closet.

Heh, I loved that game. I used to hate The Cowboys, but I was pretty neutral in that one -- fantastic Sunday Night Game. This whole week has been pretty exciting, actually.

How bout them Houston Texans ya'll? They made the playoffs! Finally! And all it took was Peyton Manning not playing for an entire season. Grats Texans, enjoy getting facerolled during the first weekend by whichever wild card team you draw. Although too be fair they have beat the Bungles and the Titans, both teams in the WC race. If it ends up Steelers and Jets in the wild card they will get wrecked lol.

Peyton Manning being out has nothing to do with Houston winning the division. The Colts' performance this season just shows that the entire team was built around one man, and cannot function without him. You know who the Texans have been missing, either for a few games or the entire season? RB Arian Foster was out for several games with an injury, WR Andre Johnson as well. Mario Williams is gone for the season. Oh wait, so is our STARTING and BACKUP QBs, in Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart respectively. Hell, I'm probably forgetting a few guys. Now who are we rolling with in week 14? A ROOKIE QB drafted in the FIFTH round named TJ Yates. The entire team has his back, and it shows. This guy is cool, calm, and poised. He's made a few mistakes, sure... but he's confident and gets it done. Sure last week vs ATL the home crowd certainly helped, but the entire city of Houston is behind TJ and the Texans. Today against the Bengals we showed how resilient a team we really are. We played pretty badly for 3 quarters, but managed to not give up and keep cool. The last 3 or 4 minutes of that game was amazing to watch. Two minutes left, no timeouts and TJ takes us 80 yds for a TD. The 17 yd QB rush on 3rd and 15 was awesome.

As a Texans fan I'm elated that we finally have taken the next step and won the division, on our way to the playoffs for the first time. Hell, we still might be able to secure a first round bye. I believe the road to the Superbowl goes through either New England or Pittsburgh, and Houston will be there to meet them head on. The Steelers don't concern me, we beat them 17-10 in week 4.

Why not the Houston Texans and TJ Yates?

Well, the Texans signed Jeff Garcia, so I'm not so sure they do either.

But that's a really stupid reason to not like someone.

Yates is also getting some help from a fantastic defense. First-in-the-league-fantastic. I imagine if you were to put him or Tebow (because that comparison is bound to occur in the next couple of posts anyways) on a team whose defense is not playing well, and you'd see some pretty different results.
