So... SB predictions anyone? I'm wanting Packers vs Jets, but what probably will happen is Packers vs Steelers. As a Dallas fan, it's in my blood to hate Pittsburgh, but I actually wanted them to win vs the Ravens because I hate Terrell Suggs.

My hate is justified. Rex took off to be a HC elsewhere. Oh well, our team can be bombastic enough with all the personalities in the locker room.

And is the Suggs hate due to his constant talk? I dislike it that he does it so much, but you have to admit, he can be a monster on the feild, unlike some other trash talkers, here's looking at you Ochocinco and Channing Crowder.

Oh I don't doubt Suggs' ability to play the game, he is a tremendous player. I just hate that he never shuts up and whines about the league giving special treatment to certain players, or whatever else he likes to cry about. I normally don't care, everyone in the league jabs at each other once in awhile, it just seems like he does it on a constant and daily basis.

Take it from a Ravens fan, he doesn't. I am fine with the way that he plays, but I wish that you could take Ray Ray's personality and place it in Suggs, there would be trash talk, but not nearly as much along with the other stuff. Actually, I wish that we could take Ray Ray's brain and deposit into some rookie MLB for us here soon, because Ray is still playing like he is a fresh player, but his body is aging. We could have an endless cycle of Ray Ray! Here's to hoping that Ozzie gets on it.

At first I was like "ohshitdallasfan then I was like, oh you hate Suggs too? " haha, I just hate him 'cause he hurts my Ben. Damn you Suggs!

OT: Steelers - Packers Super Bowl, forsure. The Jets' upset streak ends here.

Rofl, I only hate the Steelers truly because they really are always a tough team, and y'all beat us 2/3 times we played y'all in the Superbowls. And yea, Suggs is a hell of a player I just want him to keep his mouth shut which he will have plenty of time to not do this rest of the playoffs :P

Oi! It was Ngata who made Ben bleed! Give credit where it is due! Ngata is my favorite player in the NFL, followed up by Troy Polamalu, because they both play at the positions I did in high school, they are both beasts, and they don't mouth off about it constantly. hell, you can hardly hear Troy in interviews, and I have yet to see Haloti in an interview yet. Fukkin QB's and LB's, getting all the credit.

You sir, are right. However, it was Suggs who managed to sack Big Ben 4 - 5 times this year, which fuels my hatred for him.

And yep, except in Steeltown where Polamalu gets the game ball every week, lol.

A side note, I think the Jets are starting to pipe down because they know the Steelers will talk shit back. We have a strict, classy and respect fueled head coach, but even he has talked in the past. Holmes is gonna be shut down again like he was last time and become utterly useless. There's a reason we traded him, and it's starting to look like Wallace is a better receiver anyway.

Plus Rex Ryan knows the Steelers as well, after all, he was our DC for awhile and we played ya'll twice a year. He respects the Steelers, and the Jets defensive players do as well, as they see the Steelers and Ravens playing football like it is meant to be played.

I think that Sanchez is just going to have to much shit going on around him to even be able to compute much. He is going to have Steelers in his face a lot this game.

My Prediction: Steelers 27, Jets 7. (I am giving them a mercy TD, I was leaning more towards 9, no TDs)

    Steelers and Packers in Superbowl.

I want Packers to win, but I have a feeling the refs will favor the Steelers for a third time.

For the love of god, can you make your own thread? Call it "REFS LOVE STEELERS HAR HAR HAR" for all I care. Just stay out of this thread if you're gonna openly bash the Steelers without merit. I've told you there's videos of people breaking down the calls, including Primetime himself, and he was a Cowboy so there's bad blood there. If you're gonna be a douche, you're not wanted here.

Amen! And this is coming from a Ravens fan so there is even more bad blood there!

Then again.... Primetime had zero loyalty whatsoever, with all the rival team jumps and all that.

I will say there were some blown calls in those Superbowl games, but I'm not going to be an idiot and say "DUR REFS LUV DA STEELERS". The Big Ben TD is obviously the biggest one everyone likes to point out, but he clearly broke the plane of the goal line, tho I personally can never remember if its the ball that has to break the plane or just the player. Despite the blown calls, the opposing teams had their chances and didn't win do it.

@Unholy Skipper: I think the Packers will hold their own against the Bears. While Chicago did trash Seattle, the Packers are a MUCH better team than the Seahawks and Green Bay has beaten the Bears in Soldier Field.

I'm thinking it will be a close one between the two, and I honestly can't predict who will win.

But just cause I can "REFS LUV DA STEELERS"

The bigger they are, the harder I hit'em

I have every right to bash whatever team I want. You don't like it? Don't read my posts.

The way you get so defensive leads me to believe you agree that the Steelers won their last two Superbowls because of blown calls from the refs. =)

    A. It isn't getting defensive. There is actual footage of NFL analysts breaking down the calls as he said, if you don't agree with them, then whatever. But it has been said that The Steelers won it just fine.
    B. It is as Bamboozles says - make your own thread to bash the Steelers and all that - this is a intelligent discussion thread - you bring none. So make your own thread.

Yeah, that's true. He's like Owens - extremely talented but cocky and no loyalty.

It's the ball, but the ball did break the plane.

I can't really go with that mentality anymore after seeing the Jets walk into Foxboro and beat the Pats. I think it's gonna be a Chicago - Steelers Super Bowl. There's been upsets all playoffs, but I think they stop here.

It's okay to bash if you at least have some intelligence in what you say. If you have some kind of proof or something to back your words, but you don't. So, you're just an idiot. Thanks for bringing out the "I HAZ A RITE" speech too. I got all teary eyed.

^ This guy has intelligence. And he's a Raven fan, which physically hurts me to say that. (:P I joke, I joke.)

Then bring something to the table, please. Don't be a douchebag and troll this thread. It's okay to have an opinion, but base it on evidence and not douchebaggery. Deal?

Alright, it's another week. Last week I did pretty poorly, 2/4. Let's give 'er a go!

    Jets at Steelers:

Steelers. I keep hearing "LT is going to have a very successful day" and "Greene is going to stomp this run defense." Alright, first off, the stats don't back that up what-so-ever. The Jets were successful last time, yes, but we didn't have Troy or Farrior playing. Both are intricate in that defense. As for Sanchez supposedly having an "amazing day" next week, who writes this stuff? Not only is Sanchez' playoff stats horrible, his regular season stats are bad as well. Somehow, he's going to have a very successful day against this Steelers secondary? Is this a joke?

The Jets don't have an edge anywhere in this game. Receivers? Great, you have Holmes (you're welcome by the way, NY) but he was utterly useless last time. Edwards? He's great, no doubt, but Clark will have him covered all day. Cotchery? Shut down by Ike Taylor. You may be saying to yourself, hey maybe they have the edge elsewhere like the run game. Not against this Steelers run defense they don't. 63.7 ypg / run on average set records. The only teams to have a better record were teams in the 40's, and let's face it, it was a much different game and there was no forward pass.

QB? Sanchez is inconsistent and immature. He's going against a two time winning Super Bowl QB that is known to be clutch when he has to be (lol 54 yard bomb to Brown to set up the winning TD).

Defense? Steel. Curtain. Harrison and Clark have stepped their game up severely and Sanchez doesn't do well under pressure. The Jets don't have a Reed or Polamalu, but they do have Revis. He's alarming to Ben, but we're forgetting that Ben can scramble with 4 guys draped on him and throw for 25 yards to Miller.

All that aside, I'd like to point out the year that Ben is having. First, being wrongly accused of rape is a serious issue that toyed with him. It also toyed with the Steelers offense until week 14 where we glued together. Looking at this offense now, I don't see a secondary that can cover all of our threats. Sanders, Wallace, Ward, Brown, Randle-El and finally, the man himself, Heeaaathhhhh.

My new Ravens buddy says it's going to be a 20 point game, which I would LOVE to see, but I don't think it's going to happen. That being said, it's not going to be close.

    Steelers 23 - Jets 10.

    Packers at Chi-town:

This took a little time to figure out who's going to win. I mean, if I thought "if it snows in Soldier, they're gonna win." Then I remembered the Pats going into Soldier - when it was snowing - and absolutely bending them over.

I looked at stats, injuries and playoff history and came down with this conclusion:

    Chicago wins.

A lot of people may call this an upset, but it's not. They're at home - with the better offense (not qb, but overall imo) and a better special teams. The Packers have an outrageous defense, but I think Cutler is going to be hooking up with Hester & Davis quite a bit, even for short little gains.

The flaw I see with the Packers D, if you are able to contain and manage Clay - they're not as good as they seem. The same logic applies to the Pats - contain Tom and you've won. I know it's easier said than done as that guy is an absolute monster, but they have a serious chance at winning this thing if they're able to stop Clay from making big plays at the right times.

    Chicago 24 - Packers 20.

With the Bears and Packers - I see it going differently. Either Tramon Williams or Charles Woodson will be on Johnny Knox - unless he does something incredible I don't see him burning either of those two unless they jump the route going for a pick, so he may be for the most part taken out of the game, and he is Cutler's favorite target. The short pass game may work, but Green Bay's D is pretty solid about wrapping up and taking the ball carrier down. Green Bay 21 - Chicago 17.

The only thing Bears has going for them is that Hester kid and that Brian dude on defense. Bears beat a team that shouldn't have even made it to the playoffs and now suddenly they are favorites over Packers? Packers are going to run over the Bears and it's going to be fun watching Rodgers throw all over their shitty secondary.

I hate the Jets and the Steelers. I don't care who wins this game. If the Steelers make it, watch out for some shitty calls from the refs in favor of the Steelers.. If Jets win... Well, get ready for more trash talking.
