Well Sy i started watching full metal panic fumoffu, it has really good comedy and iff i wasnt going to parents for dinner i probably would be still watching it. Damn you and youre addictively good animes.

Spirited away is an AMAZING Anime Movie, you should watch it when you have the time :P

The story is quite unique and memorable, truely a Gibhli piece, watch it when you got time Sy

but ill agree that its a bit less impressive than Mononoke and Howls, but its still well worth the watch imo

hmm, Princess Mononoke was good, but not that impressive imo. i put it into my list because i only had three other movies and it has a different style than most other animes i watched, but it wasn't really omfgamazing^^ good, but not outstanding (for me).
and there are many other awesome animes, i can't just watch them all at once. so i tend to switch a bit between genres and probably won't watch the next anime movie from the same producer just now.

Believe it or not, when I was a kid I watched German TV since it was the only thing that I could watch in my own room
So I learned the German language.. from watching German cartoons >_>

Ergo Proxy

i didn't finish it yet, but Ergo Proxy is definitely worth watching if you're searching for a good story!
other than that, Kanon 2006, Ef - a Tale of Memories, Death Note, Baccano!, Serial Experiments Lain and Spice and Wolf. they all have very good story/characters/storytelling.

A great anime that seems to fly under everyones radar and I highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Paranoia Agent - Tsukiko Sagi, a shy character designer who created the immensely popular pink dog Maromi, finds herself under pressure to repeat her success. As she walks home that night, she is attacked by an elementary school boy on inline skates. Two police detectives, Keiichi Ikari and Mitsuhiro Maniwa, are assigned to the case. They suspect that Tsukiko is lying about the attack, until they receive word of a second victim.

Have you watched Howls Moving Castle? imo its better than Mononoke, but Mononoke was enough to get you interested in Gibhlis works so with all the recommendations for it i kept it in a bit of a low profile..anyways look when Mononoke was created 1997, its pretty darn old now yet ahead of so many newer titles

of course, it's nice to see that it's still better than a lot of computer-made animes in terms of graphics for example. but that doesn't make it a better anmie to watch per se.

It appears that I've missed some of the discussion.. Ah well, Spirited Away indeed was a great movie, and for that; Watch Howl's Moving Castle. That one is a master piece just like Spirited Away (even though it didn't get a reward)
