Playing While Downloading Full Client

I have just purchased a new laptop for 4.1, and just began the full client download of WoW. I am downloading from a public library, at approx 500-700 kb/s. My question is this: when the download gets to the 'available' area (approx 7.5gb left), will logging in to play stop or slow the download? I understand the gameplay isn't ideal until the full download is completed, but if its only a matter of slowing it down slightly then I can live with that.

I have the downloader settings set to 'enable peer to peer' and 'allow quick play'.

It might slow down a little. But it will still continue downloading. And loading screens might take a bit longer as it has to download certain data before you can appear in the world.
