Also you didnt mention a aftermarket cpu cooler and with a i5-2500k I'm assuming overclocking is in the mix.

EDIT: I wouldnt recommend your chosen PSU in a midtower case its a cable management nightmare imo , I had the TX750 in a Antec 900 and figuring out what to do with the extra cables was god awful. This should do nicely if you are going for a single HDD, single optical drive, single GPU setup. Its partially modular and the 750w is enough for that kind of setup and its at the same price point of the TX850 v2 (with the rebate on newegg)
Within the next few months I want to get another GTX580 with identical HDD for RAID0. What case do you recommend? I just took it as a suggestion from someone else. I chose the one in that post because it looked like it had very good air flow and wouldn't overheat. I'm only going to do a minor overclock on the i5 to 3.7GHz

So here's my repaired PC! With new case with some more room and mobo standoffs which are rock solid, unlike how they were in my HAF 912.

One sloppy pic taken with sloppy camera and some sloppy photoshop to remove sloppy dead pixels.

NEW Case: Corsair Obsidian 650D. (It's awesomesauce in many ways IMO)
NEW Intel Core i7 2600K @ 4.6 GHz (As mentioned my SECOND one since I broke the first, whee my wallet...)
NEW Asus P8Z68 Deluxe (May get exchanged for the WS Revolution if I get back a working board from warranty)
    16GB DDR3 RAM, Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
2x Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 1GB (800/1600/4000MHz), setup in SLI
WinTV HVR 5500 HD TV Tuner card
SATA 1.5Gb/s controller card (PCI, used for eSATA)
    1x Intel 510 Series SSD 120GB
3x WD Caviar Black 1TB, setup in RAID-0 atm for handling uncompressed video footage.
3x WD Caviar Green 2TB, no raid no nothing, just for all the pr0nz.

    And in the front:
Scythe Kaze Master Pro - Fan controller (Looks awesome and can recommend it for total control freaks)
    OptiArc DVD+-RW 24X
Lian Li USB3/USB2/eSATAp panel (power for esata not working atm due to shorting when the power cable is connected, so something fishy here)

So now I'm busy reinstalling software for a while >.<

IF I get back a working P8P67 WS Revolution from warranty I will probably put it in and return the P8Z68 Deluxe since my retailer apparently allows that kind of thing (must be returned in new condition and presumably all accesoaries still in their sealed bags).

Nice Wries! I really like how your computer looks actually, and the fan controller doesn't look nearly as tacky as mine, course I got mine at a CompUSA which never seems to keep a good stock of anything... I have the stupid NZXT Sentry 2..... might just look into getting the one you have.

So i decided to post again with pics this time.

Case: Sunbeam Transformer Full tower ( It fits all of my components, and I have been very impressed with the airflow, however I did have to replace the stock 80mm fans, so damned loud)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811166004

CPU: i7 2600k, currently overclocked 100% stable at 4.2Ghz, I toyed with 5.0Ghz, but never found a completely stable overclock

    Memory: 2x4GB Ripjaw X series 2133 Mhz ram running at 2133Mhz 11-11-11-30 2t
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231468

Graphics: Powercolor 6970 2GB (I would have liked to buy the XFX card, but they are always out of stock, after having a powercolor 3850 and 4870 I decided to go with a damned stable brand imho)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131391

PSU: OCZ 700W High performance power supply (Reviews were good, and build quality is very nice)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341018

    Motherboard: Asus P8P67-Pro revision b3

    SSD: OCZ agility 2 120GB

CPU cooler: Corsair a70 (Good GOD this thing is huge and AMAZING)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835181011

HDD: 2x1TB Western Digital Black Edition sata 3.0 running a 200GB short stripe and ~1700 GB long stripe (Sadly the access times may be less, but the short stripe compares to the agility 2 in all other aspects)

Currently only running a 19" LG monitor, and a 17" Samsung monitor. The next step is purching a set of three
    22"+monitors and going eyefinity.

    Speakers: Logitech 2.1 Z632

    Mouse: Razer Naga

    Keyboard: Microsoft sidewinder x4

I used to like the Sentry 2.... but back then I hadn't seen a lot of other controllers. Now I've seen some of the very slick others and I just think they look even better. I mean, it's nice this thing kind of matches my case, the color is exactly the same, but idk, I kind of hate NZXT for some odd reason, and having actual dials to turn the fans up and down versus a thing that only goes by 10% increments..... BLAH. And the beep is bloody annoying.

    Hey I love my Sniper's fan-controller dial :P
Too bad I never turn it any higher than minimum (200mm fans tend to move a ton of air even at low speeds) and I want to keep it as quiet as possible.

Got this little monster a week ago
Case: Fractal Design Arc Mini mATX
    MB: Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z
    RAM: Corsair 2x4GB DDR3-1600
    CPU: Core i5 2500K
GPU: MSI 560GTX Ti Twin Frozr 2
    PSU: Chieftec APS-550C 550W 80+ Modular
    HDD: some old 1tb and 500gb hitachi's

The performance is just great, will upgrade CPU cooler later on, as intel's box cooler is the loudest part in the build, and might throw some SSD as those hitachi drives are clearly huge bottleneck in the whole system.

Btw, Arc Mini case is absolutely awesome!

Interesting. I haven't glanced at 1.65v RAM at all, so I'm just intrigued seeing Kingston has shown exactly no intent to target 1.5v. Though maybe it's just the market here not updating.

According to an Intel rep on EggXpert's(Aka Neweggs) forums, it pushes the tolerance of the Integrated Memory Controller and degrades it slowly over time.

Reversely, I notice Corsair Vengeance LP's 1.25v (this is exclusive to the Arctic White version). I assume this RAM shouldn't usually have a problem, but with the odd restrictions software and hardware can sometimes impose...

Not being allowed to play a(n older) game because you have an unsupported graphic card, anyone?

Hmm I googled and can't find any particular *WARNING DON'T DO THIS* alarms going off on 1.65v on SB setups. BUT I did read in multiple places that 1.65v is more or less the limit.
Doesn't matter anyway, I'll be replacing my cheap-ass HyperX sticks with a nice pair of RipJawsX or Vengeance soon.
edit: Make that a nice pair of Mushkin Blacklines (1.5v).

It's an issue with the difference between the VDIMM and VTT voltages. If they're more than 0.5v apart, it begins to degrade the IMC. By default, 1.5v RAM is only 0.45v different than VTT (defaults to 1.05v).

Yeah it has 4 slots, 3 140mm fans with a control board, fan filters, cable management, thick aluminum, removable hdd caddies (to support 40cm video cards) and ready for water cooling solutions. For a 100$ its really awesome.
