You should have room somewhere, whether it be for a Legacy PCI slot sound card or a PCIe-x1 slot sound card. You don't need a full lane for the latter and very few people have anything to plug into their PCI lanes.

Unless of course you have a mATX motherboard.

Wait legacy PCI? O_o Most current motherboards have full PCI lanes and then a mixture of sizes of PCI-E (2.0, 2.1, MAYBE 3.0) lanes.

Looking at that picture again, I seems it has even more dust than I thought :S
To my(?) defense, that build was being neglected for almost 2 years! I'll clean it up and post another pic by the end of the week! (along with a hardware shot of HAF X!)

His hax triple slot SLI-580's are probably blocking any PCI slot(s) he could put a sound card into.

sorry if i've confused anybody, I do have the soundcard in a PCI-E x1 slot up the top :S I was just commenting on how its interesting it still requires a power adapter into the back of it, one of those funky mini power plugs (the kind you used for the o'l floppy disk drives)

I believe the additional power is for the built-in headphone amp that most Xonar cards come with.

I use my Acer Aspire 5552G-7641 (2.2GHz quad core)
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 N970
    screen: 15.6"
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6650M with 1GB dedicated memory
    RAM: 4GB DDR3
    HDD: 500gb 5400rpm

I really love this thing, got it for high school graduation for college. Use it for homework and runs games great. Can play L4D 2 on almost all high settings with steady frame rates. Plays Global Agenda on settings up ALL the way. Basically it has played any game I've thrown at it pretty well for what I paid (620 USD I believe).

Man, I'd so get the Sabertooth if I was going for a black and green build.
...which I now want to. But I can't afford to. Dammit.

    Oh well.

I'm not stressed about P67 vs Z68 if I'm in a position where I can casually build more computers...

Today I opted to reinstate my Gigabyte motherboard as my main one. It makes for a pretty nice, black theme, which is quite remarkably contrasted with the NH-D14 I find.
