    That whole system could be run on a 400w psu if needed... I think 100w is more than enough to cover some possible overclocking and such.

    real average power consumption of a system with i52500k and 560ti should be around 350W no more. However 350W PSU can't deliver that wattage. And most likely won't deliver needed amps. Thats why manufacturers recommend more expensive hardware just to be sure their recommendation works 100%. Or rip off more money

    500w minimum required could also possibly be assuming maybe you have an older more power hungry CPU+chipset than 2500K and P67/Z68 lol.

    That's true. I put a 650W in my own system (said 550W req) just to make sure it's enough (also for future upgrades) besides that using a low PSU might get troubles with warranty.

    Yeah, I've had my Corsair TX V1 650watt PSU for about a year and a half, and I won't be upgrading it till I have the money, but I definitely am going to get a modular, probably around 750 watt for possibilities with SLI in the future or something similar.

    Yet the TX650 is still good enough to SLI on, if you're willing to use Molex -> 6pin adapters.
    Which is awkward, but not unpossible.

    I'd personally just wait for the HD7000-series or the GeForce 600-series and buy one of them.

    The thought is there, and those 6 pin to molex connectors are ugly as hell. >_< The 6xx series does intrigue me though.

    If i understand that part of HDTune correctly, that's how fast it's read from that part of the drive. So, for the first 7% or so of the drive, you've got real good speeds, which i presume is down to having no data at that location (it's possible that's where the FAT is located which makes it more likely being it reads drive capacity as 120GB instead of 111GB). Then, up until 32-33%, speeds drop which would indicate this is probably where Windows is located, along with some programs. Then, until 45%, it's likely you've got no data there so speeds rise again. After that, it's pretty stable which is likely empty space.

    Just a quick guess, but you've used around 45-46GB of space, out of the formatted capacity of 111.6GB, am i correct? Let's compare with my 4-drive RAID0 results (ignore burst rate, it's related to cache, and has always been buggy with RAID);
    Wrong. My SSD isn't even a boot drive.

    It's formatted with a 10GB partion for a 4GB page file, and 6GB of space for Photoshop's scratch space, then a 50GB partition for WoW. I more or less cloned the old Vertex2 to it. Half the drive is currently empty until I get around to using the drive a bit better than it currently is.

    But I agree, HDTune is probably just nonsensical. It operates in real world absolutely fine.

    Also, Black Friday is awesome:
    red panda red panda red panda!
