    16 gig of ram
    250gig samsung evo 850 ssd
    1tb samsung f3 hdd
    amd r9 390 msi
A pretty normal 1080p monitor but looking at the idea of a ips panel 2560 144hz we shall see on that one

In all been a great rig had the main parts in her now for almost 5 years. So next year it maybe a new build. See what intel do with the extreme chips next time around.

What I want to or will change:

Replace the case with the Thermaltake Core P5 showcase
Replace the Rad with a 480 rad
Replace the 4 Vardars with 4 Noctua NF-F12 Linus Tech Tips Special Edition fans in 4x Push
    Dye the fluid Orange
Either paint or remove the annoying red LEDs on the Mainboard (probably just paint them because of warranty)
Maybe custom paint some of the parts

When I change to the Core P5 Case I'll try a LTT (Linus Tech Tips) theme, any suggestions what would look good/bad?
What screen mount are you using to have two screens vertical?

    Cheers.

The upper screen is mounted on a ceiling mount, while the lower screen just stands on the desk. It's not a dual mount :P

I've had the S340 for a while now and not posted pictures. I guess it's time to remedy that.

It took a lot of calibrating (gamma/brightness/etc is through the roof out of the box) and so far I'm liking it. The extra screen space and pixels are nice. 27" is huge and I can't possibly imagine having a monitor any bigger than this.
My only minor gripe is that the anti-glare coating becomes somewhat noticeable when there are large white areas, but in normal gaming/browsing/etc that's not a factor.

No matter what I do, I'll never get pictures as nice as Marest's...

    The ugly insides:

Trying to take Marest-style imposing pictures of computer:

And a relink of the general peripheral setup - make sure you imagine a KRK 10S Subwoofer under the desk, too!

    Such stats, very signature, wow.

    Storage now consists of:

    Crucial MX100 512GB
    Crucial M500 240GB
    WD Black 5TB
    WD Black 1TB
    WD Blue 1TB

    - - - Updated - - -

Also, some benchmarks of ALL of my drives.

Funny how when they were brand new and still to this day, my Blue 1TB is more or less faster than the Black 1TB in some regards. Not by much though. The Black 5TB wrecks them both though.

Then the SSDs come in and steamroll...

The case needs more stickers bro!

Solid setup in all seriousness. Assuming you get the right model of the Blue drive, the only real benefit by having the Black is better warranty. Slightly better performance if used as an OS drive too I believe.

    Love the 5TB drive

Reminds me, I really should get some decent speakers for my rig eventually.

I could use a couple 5 TB drives, shame they cost so much.

Yeah believe me, I've been putting off buying a bigger drive for a long time.

But finally, at only $35/TB, I couldn't hold back. This was genuinely a very very good deal!

At some point I'll get pissed off at it enough to untwist that PCI-E power cable and make it all tidy. I might borrow my Dad's camera and tripod then and take some nice pictures too.

Also, there is about 3 mm of space between the GPU and the cooler (although the fans are a bit lower than the radiator fins so the heatsink can't contact the GPU).

Windows 10 installation (going from "starting to copy files" to "setting up apps") took about a minute. Windows boots instantly; POST finishes and Windows is there. If I click on anything, it is there instantly. I tried it with a RAMDisk, but I think nVME is at the point of "it takes the screen longer to display the new window than the decrease in loading time" because I felt no real difference. Maybe a 144Hz monitor would help, but I'm on 60Hz right now (Dell U2414, LG Flatron IPS234).

I do hope that external PCI-E enclosures for m.2 SSDs become a thing, or external drives with a couple of SSDs in RAID0, because I want to actually use those USB 3.1 ports and get the 10 Gbit transfer speeds at some point
