That Full-tower! and a laptop!! Damn, that's old. (All prices and specifications are subject to change XD)
My father had a PC with a 20MB HDD in his office once.
I also saw some of the old folders he still had a few weeks ago. If hardware would be relatively as costly as back then, you would pay millions for Fuzzykins $1000 build :P
I now wish we didnt get rid of the ancient computer we had in the garage, the thing was so massive it was like twice has tall has my storm scout and was missing both side panels lol
I didn't have the budget for it, and this is plenty performance for me for now. I was actually going to see the price change after bulldozer launches, if there is any.
Trust me, I'd love a 2500k. It fits right in with my system. Which is why I got a p-67 mobo in the first place, I'm anticipating the upgrade
When I get the 2500k I'll also be adding a much larger aftermarket cooler.
Also looking in to modding that case to add a top exhaust fan.
For reference for everyone, the CoolIT Eco coolers are dogshit.
Glad mine was free.
Off to buy a hyper212+ at a local shop!

Well.. it was my first build, so I was pretty much shitting myself all the way through it. Scared that everything I touched would somehow burn out or fall apart, despite wearing the grounding wristband :P seemed to go well though :3
Needless to say there were mistakes(quite a few) but at least I know what happened rather than fucking something up and being clueless.
For the sake of the site, I wont directlink the images, but for anyone who's interested, here's how it roughly went:
Pre-Case build and ensuring all the parts fit together.

DoA Test: It passed ^_^(aka if it doesn't work from this point on, I fucked up.)

Final Outcome:

It's more tidy now, sorted the cable routing out a lot(except that one pesky cable that runs over my GFX Card/Mobo. Was just too short to go up the back of the case and through the hole
And now for the fun parts: The fuck up's.(I'll see if you guys can figure out what's wrong :3)

Aside from these 2 events, I managed to:
*Drop a motherboard screw UNDER the motherboard(it was the last fucking one as well, had to undo the whole thing just to get it out /rage)
*Not realise the cooler came with thermal paste already applied and stand it on my work ID badge... That was annoying >_>
*Then managed to get that same thermal paste in my eye, not realising it was pre-applied and had an itch.
What would I do different next time?: Actually try to have some clue what i'm doing and not be guided by a youtube video :P, But seriously, maybe a different PSU.
Got a MOLEX and 2 SATA cables sat doing nothing, would rather have a modular PSU where I can just plug in the cables needed :<
I think that was about it...
Anyway, was tremendous fun, now time to reinstall everything, hit my monthly download limit and have no connection for the rest of the month.

Close enough.
First one: Put the plate on facing the wrong way like an idiot, had to get the pins back out of the MoBo and flip it(Was certain I broke something here.. surprised I havn't).
Second one: Yeah, the backplate had it so the fan was facing up, so I was like 'hmm this must be right then.. but why is there an air filter underneath?' Then I realised I could take the back plate off, so I had to flip it >_>
HOORAY!!
I'll have new pics up soon!
Added to my rig today:
OCZ Tech. Agility 3 SATA III 120GB SSD
MSI Twin Frozr II GTX 560 Ti

Micro Center is amazing, I managed to haggle the prices down a nice amount on the video card and the heatsink!
So that stuff is now in with the following:
Cooler Master HAF X case

Intel i5-2500K CPU
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 RAM (8GB, 2x4GB)
