Wishlist? Make it REALITY bro! To be fair I sat on like 12 different wishlists for a good 2 months, maybe even longer (while I was saving up) before I FINALLY settled for my current build.
By the way, did I tell anyone that my PSU DIED?? That's right, my Seasonic X-750 died in less than 3 months of use. Like 0.01% failure rates from the best PSU company and I'm the one who ends up with a bad apple -_-. As expected, they replaced it in no time. The store was out of X-750s (outdated model) so they gave me the latest revision X-760! 10w more FOR FREE bitches!
Also completely re-vamped cable management from behind using zip-ties instead of twist-ties. Epeen photos soon. /grin

I have always had two problems for the past 6 years. I either have too much time and too little money or too much money and too little time. Right now its the latter. I work a ton of over-time at my job. Unfortunately because of that I find little time to progress in World of Warcraft. This is fine considering I plan to take it easy once Diablo III and the next Warcraft expansion is released. For now though, I enjoy saving up for luxuries like the Alienware M18x laptop which I am one week away from purchasing. So, without further adue, here's my insane gaming setup:
System:
Alienware Area-51 X-58: Core i7 920, Corsair H70 water-cooler, stock 6 gigs ram, WD Velociraptor, Samsung Spinpoint F2?3?, Nvidia 9800 GTX+ (2) in SLi. HP 24" monitor or Samsung 52" LCD HDTV.
Soon! Alienware M18x laptop with crossfire ATI 6990's.
Keyboard:
Steelseries Shift keyboard with Cataclysm key-set.
Mouse:
Steelseries Cataclysm Mouse (Awaiting the release of the Legendary Edition)
Headset/Speakers:
Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Headset Wireless w/Tap Chat; Creative Labs Gigaworks T40 II
Mousepad(s):
Steelseries: Cataclysm (Deathwing), limited edition (Syndragosa), WoLK (Lich King), Heroes of Azeroth playmat, Starcraft (Terran Nuclear blast), Diablo III (Barbarian)
Extras:
Logitech G13 gamepad, Steelseries gaming glove, Thermaltake gaming glove
Things I want:
Upgrade/New desktop (Alienware?), The Peregrine gaming glove, Diablo III headset and mouse, Starcraft II mouse, keyboard, and headset, MWElab.com's Emperor 1510 gaming chair integrated desk (For $6,200 US, this thing is insane).
Couple problems: 1) Maybe it'll be out. 2) Same price as the 2500K. 3) Knowing AMD's history, from what I can tell, their CPU might have a higher clock.. but it might not be able to do as much as a Sandybridge at the same, or perhaps even lower clock! :O 4) Maybe it'll be out. ;p
Sooooon my baby will come > Currently sitting on a dualcore laptop with Geforce 9650M GT and 4gb ram, needless to say im at like 35-40% ram usage whilst just browsing the internet on several tabs U_U
Speccs:
Asus Sabertooth X58
Samsung TFT 22'' S22A350B LED 2x (got a 3'd screen already)
1TB Western Digital RE4
Intel Core i7 950, 3.06GHz
Corsair 12GB (6x2048MB) CL9 1600Mhz XMS3
Corsair Obsidian 650D Svart
OCZ SSD Vertex3 120GB
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 580 3072MB aiming to get another next paycheck
Samsung SH-222AB, SATA
OCZ ZX-series 850W 80+ GOLD
Current cost: 2 807$ Including building/testing and shipping
Probably adding a 3'd monitor aswell as the 3'd one im currently using is old and looks like he might be giving up soon :/ also i do not yet have a keyboard but im looking at the flatter ones out there, too fond of the flattness of my laptop.. might get a razer lychosa or a logitech illuminated.

Since you're posting here I'm going to warn you of the facts: Many people here realize the joke that Alienware became thanks to being bought by Dell, many people will try to sway you, and I say you're an Alienware old-timer... so I will urge you. Please heed those who tell you to hold off on that purchase. Please....
We only want the best for everyone. If we regs here could have it our way.. everyone would be building their own computers and computer companies like Dell, HP, Gateway, etc, wouldn't exist. D:
Hopefully this isn't too flamey of a post.... I know I didn't actually say much crap about any company! XD
No no no no no no!!! Don't build around that chipset! >_<
Unless you're going for an insane folding/rendering rig like Cyanotical's and going the route of a 980x/990x.... do NOT buy x58! The P67/Z68 platform with i5-2500K is SOOOO much better for gaming, and costs less than half the price. Pleeease listen to my post before you buy....
Link ze proofz!
And wow, only took them 7 months longer than Intel.... Well wait, Intel technically had their's out in January. 10 months! >_< And Bulldozer was supposed to be the competition for Sandybridge.... so while AMD is just now catching up, Intel will be continuing to own the enthusiast market by putting Sandybridge-EX 2011 CPUs out this winter and early next year... followed soon enough by Ivybridge.
We'll see how they fare!

i7-2600K. BAM. 'sup? :P
Or hell.. go for the $1,000 i7-3xxx chip. x_x
I don't even know how to respond when budgets become this inflated.
Buy whatever you want man, our cost-cutting advice is useless here : /
i7 2600k bro, for all your hyperthreading needs. And no, BF3 making "use" of hyperthreading doesn't mean it'll suddenly start racing ahead of non-hyperthreaded chips in terms of performance. GPU will still be the single largest factor in performance.
edit: Deltrius beat me to it because he's a hyperactive post-count-hogging little drummer.
