I'm thinking of seeing if Cooler Master would take back my HAF X and $150 and send me a Cosmos 2 instead, since I'd rather just up to a Cosmos 2 than get another HAF X. Might take some string pulling, but essentially it would be easier for both sides, I think. I want the Cosmos 2, I have a faulty HAF X that should get sent back to CM anyways, give them the difference, maybe even slightly more to seal the deal, then get a Cosmos 2. Be happy.

Hmm...hope my Sniper never goes faulty (especially that fan controller that's stopping it from sounding like a jet engine), I'm in love with my case <3

But if it ever does go bad, I would consider buying something from Silverstone or Corsair.

Well mine was faulty all along. ;p

Just wasn't a true issue till recently when I got my sound card.... can't screw it in and have it secure in the PCIe slot at the same time. =S

About 11 months now. I noticed the issue when I first got it, but didn't feel it was such an issue. I now know of a case I definitely would like to have instead (Cosmos 2) and will be getting more than enough money for it, so I just need to see what can be done.

And the warranty is until the end of this coming or the next December.

If I were you I would just email technical support and inquire about it. I do not see why they wouldn't let you do such a thing considering the original case was defective to begin with.

Yeah, I would hope they would do it.

I don't see why not. the Haf X is a 200$ case. Sending you another one would seem like a loss compared to letting you buy the Cosmos.
I guess that's just how I see it in my head Deltrus. I hope it works out for you.

I liked that about my RV01, but unfortunately it was just too crowded in the end. The door on it was also borked and didn't slide all the way up without help. It also tended to unlatch itself for no reason and so it'd go halfway up before stopped.

I realise their RV02 has some support for radiators, but last i read it wasn't exactly suitable for proper watercooling due to the bottom having an extrusion preventing fitting of rads down there so it's very limited in what you can do with it.

Likewise, i like my 800D very much but it was also too limited in watercooling capability and absolutely awful at air.

However, if someone combined the RV01, 800D (particularly for the chamber divider in the middle), and then expanded upon the watercooling support, it'd be a real consideration. You know, dedicated space to mount pumps, perhaps sell different swapout accessories for different pump models (thus eliminating the need for the stands and heads), enough space for a 3.140 rad (with 120 support too) as well as a 1.140 seperate space at the back, and large enough to fit in 10 3.5 drive bays and 4 5.25" drive bays, and 25-50mm of clearence behind the motherboard tray (along with a load of rubber grommets to feed cables) i think it'd be the ultimate case. It's just come down that none of the big companies investing in such a case.

Still not heard any plans from Corsair on a new case though. They recently announced both the Carbide 300R and Obsidian 550D, but neither of them are supersized cases. Silverstone also have the RV04 on the way (http://www.4gamer.net/games/017/G001762/20111008005/) but again, it's a smaller case.
this is an issue with cases in general, personally the best WC oriented cases ive ever seen are by Little Devil, but thats way out of the price range of most people, and still has the "made in the basement" look

i would love to get this case with a phase changer, but its 480 euros base, 1,200 euros with the phase changer, and i'd still have to pay VAT & shipping to the states

It'd be cheaper to befriend a metalworker and get them to weld together a case to fit your needs. After all cases aren't all that complicated really :P just gotta get the dimensions right and the holes in the right place(s).

    Backplates are the problem though.
    The I/O, PCI-slots, etc.

The arms are nice, I have a small desk so they give me a lot more room on my desktop. I don't normally move them around, but they do move nice and easy.

Cool, been thinking about getting some arms myself for my two monitors. (I also have a smaller desk.)

Btw, just checked out your CPU siggy, damn. Your voltage for 4.7GHz is insanely good, I suggest posting in the overclocking boards forum thread. :>

The person above me, had pre-editting, listed a Thermaltake PSU while pictures clearly showed a HX850 from Corsair.

So I just called up Cooler Master, they said they don't do any sort of upgrade service, so they would only replace the faulty part, not send back a different chassis, even if I offered to pay the difference. x_x
