    The Dark Knight Rises/The Amazing Spiderman(same-day double feature ) DKR - 9/10. TAS - 8.5/10

With DKR, I didn't like the way they hint at Levitt's character as being Robin. Really the only problem I had with the movie. TAS was MUCH better than the first ones. The story seemed to follow more true to the comic book canon with the exception of the Lizard being his first adversary. I think they could have done a little better casting Peter Parker as well.

    Battleship 6/10

The only reason I gave it so high was because the CGI was amazing. Overall it was a pretty shitty movie, to much of the "main character never dies" rule. And the aliens were basically retarded even though they were a super advanced race.
These aren't the spoilers you're looking for.

    Move along.

    Cloud Atlas - 7/10

I gave up trying to figure out who's/who in each time frame although some were easy to figure out and others I missed or incorrectly guessed. I just focused more on the storyline and my major complaint was I thought there would be more of a link between the time frames. However, I enjoyed most time frames and I was never lost. The make-up and graphics were really well done. The actors also did very well especially Doona Bae and Tom Hanks. It was also really fun at the end to see which characters I got right and which ones I didn't.

Cloud Atlas 6/10 - Wasn't really a fan of the story overall but did enjoy some of the parts (liked the futuristic Seoul).

    Source Code - 4/10

Tries to be an intelligent movie but it falls woefully short of that goal. Parabolic calculus aside. The ending is also handled with punching gloves. Instead of leaving it with a sense of ambiguity, the director can't help but turn it into a feel good fest while straying from the sci-fi (rather contrived sci-fi) of the film and venturing into fantasy.

    Skyfall
    8/10

Honestly I had my doubts coming into the film as Quantum was a massive let down for me, but I was surprised with the actual film and the quality. It surpasses Casino Royale in so many ways. I liked that M was more involved and I felt a better connection to the characters this time. I actually think it was a bit short personally, for me I could of watched more to get more story and action going.

This has set a standard for the future of Bond I just hope the next one increases in quality as not to do another Casino > Quantum but more of a Casino > Skyfall

Skyfall - 8/10 - not really enough gadgets for me and felt it lacked a little something to be a true Bond film, good action flick though.
    Koodledrum - Balnazzar EU - 85 Priest - Retired.

It's supposed to be a brainless, plot-less summer action flick like The Expendables. There were so many stereotypes and cliches in there I was about to gag, but I think that was kind of the point.

I was sad they never found an excuse to say something about someone sinking their battleship, though.

So can't wait for Skyfall, few more days till IMAX :3
Saw Flight at a midnight showing, excellent movie, and one of the most compelling movies I've seen about an alcoholic. Never really affected me to see a character drink in a movie, but damn this one had me on the edge of my seat.

    9/10

    Looper, 8/10

Not quite what I expected it to be and I liked that. Someone deserves an award from someone for Joseph Gordon-Levitt's makeup in that movie. Despite the abundance of possible paradoxes that will make your head hurt if you try and rationalize, it was still very enjoyable.

    Avengers - 8.5-9/10

Good story and humor. Would've preferred that they kept the actor who played the Hulk from the 2nd movie though.

    Wreck It Ralph
I feel like I may be a little biased rating this simply because this movie connected with me in every way on an personally emotional level, one with the nostalgia, and two with the awesome chemistry between Ralph and Vanellope (John C. Reily and Sarah Silverman), and I would go on but I would list to many things about the movie that I absolutely loved. As for the acting and performances, anyone who has not seen the movie will be shocked to hear me say, Sarah Silverman was fantastic in it (as well were all the main characters, heck it surprised me Jane Lynch seemed the weakest, and even she was strong). The writing was much deeper than I expected it to be, as well as the characters and their development, they made an annoying brat character the most lovable character in the movie, and the one scene near the end (not going to spoil it) gave me chills that I don't typically get in animated movies, or movies in general, it was the 'this is epic' kind of chills. Not only that but late into the movies the movie hits an emotional level that I hadn't seen in a movie like this since Up and Toy Story 3, it was fantastic and had me crying (don't expect to cry, most my tears were because I connected to the movie personally). As for the nostalgic throwbacks (and no, not all of these are actually too video games, or even disney movies. (There was a Wizard of Oz one that had me cracking up really hard)) they were great, they made me laugh each time and really brought the joy into a lot of the scenes.

While this movie isn't 'technically' the best movie of the year, it has its technical flaws and blah, blah, blah. It's my personal favorite, above even Argo and the Avengers, the nostalgic throwbacks were fantastic, I cried three times during it (don't expect to cry, most the tears were again because I connected to it personally), the acting was top notch, and it's a movie that is enjoyable by anybody, and I would highly suggest it to anyone.

A Golden Star (my rating that is better than 10/10) for Wreck It Ralph.

I don't expect everyone (heck I don't expect most people) to enjoy it more than I did, I suspect they'll enjoy it, but not to the level I did, which is all simply because this was one of those movies that just flat out hit me in all the right places. (which may be completely off the mark for a lot of people)

    Wreck it Ralph - 10/10.
Very solid film. The acting was great, it was full of imagination and creativity, and the references just made the whole experience really cool. I'd recommend it. It was really, really good!
