Tangled: I will keep this short in that I absolutely adored this animation, it brought back the classic disney style while also making it all the more believable, the princess (Rapunzel) acting all naive made sense, and the humor was great (especially the bar scene my favorite moment in the entire movie). To me, this is the movie that really brought Walt Disney Animations back on the map of relevancy after about a decade of Pixar dominance and a couple of good Dreamworks films. This is also one of the reasons (Wreck-It-Ralph, and Paperman are the others on a highly positive, plus Cars 2 and Brave on a more negative note) I am now more excited for a Walt Disney Animation Film than any Pixar film and heck most live action films. It was an excellent comeback film and definitely deserves a 10/10.

I'm not the only person that saw and really liked Tangled then.

Indie Game (The Movie) & King of Kong 9/10 for both. These are two films that I just kept on not getting around to watching, but finally did. Both show really interesting aspects and moments in the lives of gamers and people involved with gaming.

Indie Game is insightful and fascinating, showing how people's passion and drive can inspire them to create, despite all the problems and pain that come with the process (that's a lot of 'p's). It gives you a stirring look into the lives of the people that put games together in their own time, and how much they give to make it happen. It shows how attached they tend to be to their gaming projects and just how the creations are more like a piece of art to the creator(s) - driven by emotions as well as desires.

King of Kong on the other hand, is a classic 'underdog' style film, almost verging on being an underdog sports film, with more akin to Rocky than I would have expected. It shows a man, who dedicated his life to trying to do better, only to be repeatedly stopped at every turn. It gives him a nemesis and it plays off the 'relationship' that develops between them. It shows how gaming can help or inspire some people and just how passionate gamers can be.

    Brave: 7/10
It's a nice movie, but i thought it would have more of "Adventure & Exploration" than it has.

Nope, I watched it with my nieces and nephew a while back and thought it was pretty entertaining. A cute story with some fun songs thrown in, it turned out to be a great kids movie. Some movies aimed at that age are just mind numbingly stupid, but this one was a good take on an old tale.

Looper. Probably about a 7.8, not really enough action.

Last movie I sat down and watched was "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" with Jim Carey and Kate Winslet, among others..

Absolutely fantastic film. A must watch for any movie buffs out there. The film itself is, in many ways, a metaphor about life. The two lead actors both should have won Oscars for their performances, and Winslet nearly did. She got nominated, and the Writer, Charlie Kaufman, won the award for Best Screenplay.

    10/10

Great action, good story but the: "How Skyfall should have ended" moments are just too obvious. I hate it when supposedly supersmart secret agents behave like morons...

After Moneypenny shot bond why would she let the bad guy just roll away instead of just taking another shot... /movie

Or this one: Bond takes his sweet time to have a look at the manor burning down but he pursues Silva unarmed instead of taking a second to pick up the assault rifle he just knocked out of a henchmen's hands

Breaking Dawn part 2. 6/10. Fuck me right?

I give it this high rating because the twihards were so into the final battle, only to get trolled so fucking hard, you could hear the disappointment. It was so much fucking win.

    Skyfall 8/10

The first half or so of this film gets a 10. It was so damn good and probably the best Bond I've seen. It started to lose steam toward the latter parts and I wasn't crazy with how certain things were handled/where the story went.

I will say, the cinematography and direction of that first half, Shanghai especially, was insane. I'm not an awards freak, but it deserves at least an Oscar nom for those visuals and atmosphere. Stunning.

    Skyfall - 7.5/10

I thought it was pretty good, although it isn't among the best Bond movies in my opinion. The best part of the movie was definatly the fight scene in the Komodo Dragon pit and I also really liked the villain, it was cool to have a villain that was more personal with his plans. Still, I feel like the movie went downhill towards the end, and I got a little confused with the whole island thing that was forgotten just as quick as it was introduced. As for Daniel Craig, I'm still trying to get used to him as Bond, his personality just seems a little bit too cold for the role. He is still, however, not the worst Bond ever.

All in all, it's a good Bond movie, but I still think Casino Royal is the best recent one.

    Looper - 8/10

A great, and different, action movie. I went to watch it mainly because it had Bruce Willis in it, so I atleast expected it to be a good action flick. Instead I got something different than what i expected, in a very good way. The plot is really well thought out, there is always something interesting popping out along the way which adds to your curiosity, and ofc there is also the action scenes which keeps you entertained. My only problem with the movie is that it can get very confusing at times, so you have to pay attention to a lot of things so you don't get lost in the whole thing.

Anyways, great movie, I'd recommend it to anyone whoes interested.

The book itself trolls the "final battle", how is the movie any different? (read, haven't seen)

    Skyfall 2/10

I haven't seen all the Bond movies, but this is easily the worst one that I can remember, and certainly the worst of the modern ones that had either Pierce Brosnan or Daniel Craig in them. Other than some really nice cinematography and sets, this was one of the most boring movies I've seen in a long time. The first half of the movie takes twice as long to conclude a scene as reasonably necessary while delivering very little story. The second half of the movie picks up the pace, but doesn't really get that much more interesting. This Bond film doesn't feel anything like the others, and that's a bad thing in my opinion.

It's true that this antagonist was suffering from a psychotic break seemingly unparallelled by other Bond villains, but the threat he presented to the world was minor in comparison. Bond himself has never been a particularly deep character, which is why these movies hinge on action, suspense, and twists. This movie simply moves too slowly to deliver on any of those staples in a meaningful way. I went to a 2:15 showing on a Saturday, so the theater was packed, but had I not been on the end of the row I would have walked out many times. I wanted to walk out. I should have walked out. This movie was far too long for it's own good, and I spent most of it hoping it was almost over. While I'd rate the second half of the movie higher than 2, I've never been so anxious to leave a film as I was this one, and therefore can't give it anything better than that.

    8/10 - Prometheus.

This movie had the similar powerful hold the original Alien film had, the cinematography drawing you in. It was concise in it's subject matter and not plagued by action or relying too heavily on special effects to prop up it's purpose. It was a little too elusive perhaps, very symbolic, but almost as if you couldn't work out if it was too clever or you were too clever for it and seeing through the plot conventions. Also, it seemed to ramp up quickly and end too soon, relying on the strength of the actors performances and presentation for the first part. Overall, I found it a satisfying prequel to the other Alien films, and Ridley Scott sucessfully redeeming the series from the mediocre Alien vs Predator film series.

    Wrong Turn 5

    6.5/10

Not as good as 1 and 2, but easily better then 3 and 4. I watched the movie with low expectations, and apparently its good that I did. What I do like about the Wrong Turn movies is how they make different approaches then most other horror movies. For example in Wrong Turn 2, instead of letting the cute, harmless virgin girl live, they allowed the bitch to live. This is what movies need, different approaches, that is why I give movies like these extra points.

    Skyfall - 2/10

    /Spoilers ahead

Too long, too boring. What the fuck was up with the idea of Bond being bisexual? Seriously? And the whole premise is Silva wants revenge by killing M, yet he could have easily blown her up in Headquarters, yet instead he blows it up so she can watch it? Then he assaults a courtroom with 2 other henchmen to try and kill her when she has like 20 bodyguards.... Fucking dumb. Then Bond somehow manages to pick-up M, and drive her to a new car with NO ONE the wiser that one of the top 10 most important people in Britain has vanished, and how to find her? Then how does Bond switch to the old vintage shitty car, and yet has no weapon caches in either the garage or the car itself?

When they get to the Skyfall mansion, and the henchmen attack, they pass right by the car on their way to the front door. Then Bond uses the guns mounted on the car to kill the guards... How did they not see him in the car as they passed it? The last half hour in the mansion was a complete joke, it felt like I was watching home alone 4 or something. Watching M packing shotgun shells, and making mines was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Of course Silva and his second wave of henchmen arrive very audibly in a helicopter and Bond has literally nothing to shoot it down with. That makes sense. Then to leave a further bad taste in your mouth, they decide to have the worst bond girl ever in any of the movies, to become the next Moneyponey. Fuck this film. I'm so sick of these directors/producers trying to make some like new age/reboot to this franchise. If the next Bond movie comes out and is getting rave reviews like QoS, and this one, I'm not wasting my money on it. Terrible.

    Wreck it Ralph.

Honestly, Disney + Game + Movie. = too much hype and shitty movie

..but..the truth was, I was wrong.

The amount of characters is pretty stupid with alot of nice familiar faces (saw Link, bowser,Zombie, ghost, bison, zangief, ryu, ken, sonic, kubert) I'm sure there's alot more but I haven't seen it since like 2 weeks or somethin so I don't remember it completely. ..
The worst part was...Zangief was a "bad" guy..HE'S NOT..in every game he's "That guy who fights for his country" and "that guy who wants to be a hero for the kids" ..what the hell? ..But, that's fine. It's Zangief.

Anyways, It's very nice, it adds the familiar disney weird twist in villians, the normal "Good guy leaves good girl then comes back for epic battle" etc etc, but it was very humorful, lots of game refferences, and it's just a really, really good movie with nice animations, nice music, and not a bad storyline whatsoever.

Honestly? 9/10, .5 was taken off for Zangief being badguy. other .5 was taken because it's not perfect , I doubt any movie is, even the Avengers wasn't 10/10 it was like 9/10 too probably for me last time I came here to write my review, but anyways the characters are nice and funny and it's an amazing movie for kids, adults, and any gamer. and no, playing WOW 24/7 only doesn't make you a gamer (not for this movie anyways) but it's a really nice movie. I had a blast watching it I'll tell you, just wish I got more food.

SO yeah. 9/10. Watch it, only worth-while Disney movie in a long time, and the short-Paperman cartoon is funny, cute, stupid--but cute.
    Howay the lads!

    The Dark Knight Rises: 10/10

Epic conclusion to the best trilogy since Lord of the Rings. I especcialy like how the bad guys succeed at pulling off their plan. Usually the hero has to prevent something bad from happening, instead of trying to fix something. Much like the Prince of Persia movie. The game was so amazing because the Sands were released and the Prince had to reverse it. In the movie he just had to prevent it from happening. That's also why I love The Avengers so much.

Currently trying to decide wether it should be The Dark Knight Rises or The Avengers that deserves the title 'Best Movie of 2012.'
    Statix will suffice.
