    Ant Man - 7/10

Was surprised, I hadn't paid attention to anything about it or anyone else's opinion, but I had assumed it would be as bad as the Fantastic Four revamp.

Warcraft, 7.5/10 - Not a great or amazing movie, but pretty good and enjoyable.

    Independence Day: Resurgence. 5/10

The new actors where completely and utterly forgettable, it has been less then an hour since the ending of the film and I struggling to find anything positive to say about them. The dialogue and "humour" was forced by the new actors, and seemed to rely on cliché and tropes from previous film and other films. Only people who really seemed to put in any sort of effort into their characters where Spinner, Goldblum, Pullman and Hirsch, who on their own carried the film, whilst the rest of the actors where not even trying it seemed, I actually laughed when Jasmine Hiller got killed

The special effects where, as expected to be phenomenal for a Emmerich film, however the story was complete and utter trash.

It's been a while since we've had another perfect Pixar movie, but damn this was great. Absolutely flawless, as to be expected of John Lasseter. There's really nothing left to say; it's another damned good Pixar movie! Looking forward to Brad Bird's sequel to The Incredibles as well.

Great movie, Leo is amazing in it.

    Warcraft - 3.5/10

Finally watched it. I was actually surprised, I thought it would be worse.

It's amazing to see everything I love on screen, specially the Grom and Kargath cameos (that say nothing but kick ass). It's also great to see the parts of the story that lineup with the original story we see in the game universe.

But on the other side, all the horseshit they created for the movie CRUSHES everything.

    - From a fan viewpoint: It's a 6, being generous. The fan service makes it better, but the way they change the lore so badly ruins it for me. I get it the universe didn't need to be EXACTLY the same, but they just downright RAPED some of the major pillars of the story.

    - From a movie enthusiast viewpoint: The CGI is amazing, the orc part is great but the overall movie is a joke. It's a 3/10 from me if I wasn't a fan of WoW.

Overall, the movie is kinda fun, the easter eggs are great and some of the acting are great and some are terrible (Lothar is Ragnar, there is absolutely no difference. Disappointed in Travis Fimmel). Imo, their biggest mistake is throwing a fuckload of shit into the air and explaining VERY little. People that don't know anything about Warcraft will be completely lost.

Independence Day: Resurgence: 1 ~ 10 I wanted to punch this movie in the dick. One point awarded for Angelababy's cuteness.

    Mr Holmes - 7/10

It was an enjoyable and believable performance from what may be Ian McKellen's last performance, and likely something he loved compared to his 'breakdown' while filming The Hobbit.

    Pan - 6/10

I enjoyed it, although Smells Like Teen Spirit came out of nowhere. The end of the movie reminded me of the crystal area in Dark Souls 1 and I couldn't stop thinking about it

    Nightmare Before Christmas - 10/10

Just saw this one for the first time. Tim Burton strikes again! My only complaint is that it is too short (70 minutes). Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed this!

Damn, you were deprived as a child. I watched this religiously as a kid. Funnily enough, only a few years ago did I realize it was a musical. Derp. Totally agree with you, though.

    ...

    Finding Dory: 7.5/10

While it wasn't as good as the first movie, I enjoyed it enough. I felt like the supporting cast was much more memorable and fun than Dory; in fact, I grew agitated at her as the film went on as they constantly overdid the memory thing. I get why they did it, but still...it got bothersome for me. Also, freaking Kaitlin Olson (Sweet Dee, It's Always Sunny) does a voice and I totally missed it until the credits rolled.

    Demolition - 7.5

Great movie, nice story and an interesting approach on love (specially the part where the little kid struggles to understand himself).

The Godfather: Part II - 9/10

Rewatched this masterpiece. Still think the first one is better, but it's genius nonetheless.

    Deadpool - 8/10
Mature and satirical superhero movie, 'nuff said.

    Batman vs Superman - 5/10
Nice philosophical points here and there but it was hard to care about some of the characters at times. Lex's only high point was when he was using Superman to confront Batman and by the time that chapter was over, I didn't have enough care cups left for the showdown with Doomsday.

Entertaining, didn't force an ending. Made me want to turn on some music and go for a stroll through the woods in some overalls.

    Independence Day 2 - 2/10

Cringe worthy dialogue, underdeveloped characters, random scenes with characters who didn't matter. Gave it 2 points for the eye candy of Charlie and Jake (who's name I thought was Jack for 2/3rds of the movie)

    Tarzan 5/10

Thought it was sorta average and not that inventive really. Direction was ho-hum, acting was mostly phoned in, all other production aspects were unexciting. Not a bad movie, just boring and average.

I did find a lot of the dialogue and line readings laughable. Maybe it was intended but the way people spoke was super modern. Kinda funny in it's odd inappropriateness I suppose. Though I do have a somewhat strange sense of humor. Grain of salt and all that stuff.

Sounds similar to what I've been hearing...

    Shame. I loved the books.

Saw Ex_Machina for the first time, I know alot of people praised this movie on how unique and awesome it was... was it though? I didn't hate oh no. I thought it was..... okay... I mean it wasn't awful but I don't think it was that unique and awesome as people were telling me.

Actors were all great, I love a small settings with alot of character development so this gave me that in spades and that what this movie really rides on for me and thats cool. But the story as a whole was very predictable. I saw the ending coming a mile the whole intelligent AI and are they really that smarter than us has been done to death. So I don't know why people are telling me this is is a new and interesting idea. What saves this really though are the characters. But as a overall movie... I am not really that hyped. It was okay. I'd probably watch it again too but it was just okay

    Verdict 6/10

    The Purge: Election Year 3/10

Has some cool concepts but as the franchise moves away from being in the Horror genre it becomes more laughable. The problem is that when the film asks the audience to accept the actions on screen in a 'serious' context the logic of those actions makes no sense and their resolution largely inconsequential. In the text of the Horror genre, even something like Action-Horror or Suspense-Horror, the inconsistency of character actions and the plausibly of their motivations is in service to producing terror.

When you ask me to take this seriously though- I have to believe tourists are just going to come to America to vacation as serial killers and rapists en mass? I mean, sure that's your premise. But just saying it doesn't make it believable; which in turn has me laughing at your film's juvenile 'shock value'.

Acting is bad. Writing is bad. Direction is okay. Nice art direction- kinda like Judgment Night or Maniac Cop. That's sort the problem I had with the third Purge movie; everything would be a lot cooler if it was more Maniac Cop and less Judgement Night.

    The BFG 2/10

Boring and insulting. This movie is trash. It's really written for nostalgic adults whom maybe grew up watching the 6-8PM block of programming on HBO during the mid to late eighties; Batteries Not Included, Last Starfighter, Baron Munchhausen, Labyrinth, Time Bandits, etc. All of which were way more genuine than this nostalgic and over sentimental BS.

Also Mark Rylance is a bad actor. He is not good whatsoever. Stop trying to make me think this guy is special and magical. Your marketing team should have gotten that Oscar, Rylance.

The Shallows: 7.5 ~ 10 Pretty solid flick with some nice bikini porn and palpable feeling of dread. Lively made a decent heroine, the shark effects were impressive, and the finale gave me a good snort-chuckle. The ending was kind of cheesey, though... should've cut it off after the first fade. Easily more entertaining than the shit they're showing for Shark Week.
