discovering the dungeon before queue

I have heard that you need to actually discover the dungeon before you can queue for it.

Is this true?

If so, where are the dungeons located?

Can look up all the new maps on wowwiki. And you just have to discover the entrance. Theres already 1 or 2 you can discover.
