yeah im on the same server as athene, and when some death knight hit 85 (some 4 hours after athene), a message popped up saying that he was realms first lvl 85

This is because he had contacted a gm and used his Leveling method which was legal but not legit due to him changing time zones for the benefit as far as i know.

No.. he had just transferred there making him ineligible for realm firsts.

This is correct, we had the same for our Priest who was the first to hit 85, due to transfer.

if athene is world first 85, why he hasnt an achievement world first or realm first ??

no achieve for world first, must be on realm 60 (90?) days before eligible for realm firsts to prevent xfering and getting carried by a guild like he did.

This is correct.

Athene did not have the world first character to achieve the achievement "Realm First: Level 85!" but he WAS the world first person to hit 85, and that is what matters (to some people).

I was so happy that I got this that I gave up on first 85 paladin on my server. Its really nice having something that differentiates you from everyone else, even if its something that has to be looked for.

grats to you all in your endevours. I personally believe Athene is not really to be praised as lets face it he was carried to level 85 by 24 other people (and the others on pvp servers apparently ganking potential threats). All of you who have posted realm first! 85 either did it by dungeon spamming or quest grinding. Either way you did it off your own hard work. Well done
