Plunderstorm is here. Why no player housing or solo mode?

As most of my fellow engineers may know there are new "spec" specific pets, 1 for gnomish and 1 for goblin.
i was gnomish and learned that pet but i decided to go Goblin and get the world destroyer pattern instead.
when unlearing gnomish it said i would lose all schematics. but - the gnomish pet schematic wasnt unlearned.
so im goblin with both schematics.

I thought they had changed it so they were no longer dependant on your specialization
