This, it's so sad. Also the quest text for http://www.wowhead.com/quest=10541 brought a tear to my eye.

Oh so since people know about it, it's no longer sad? Lets try not to derail the thread shall we with people like you.

The quest "The Wildlife Suffers Too" What's so sad about killing a few plagued animals did I miss some epic Dialogue or what =\ other than that never really had a quest that "Moves" me

And the most heart wrenching of all: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=12067

The chain with Crusader Bridenbrad is also a bit sad, but I like to think it has a happy ending.

I also couldn't find the one in Outland where the big Demon is sucking all the souls into Auchindoun, but I remember there's like a little boy ghost who's just so innocent.

Darrowshire stuff used to be way more involving and thus emotional than it is now, but that's not to say it isn't still a lot of fun.

Watching Ashbringer Mograine kill his son in SM Cath is also pretty melancholy, but the guy did deserve it I suppose. It's hard for me to have sad thoughts about it though seeing as how I was lucky enough to actually get Corrupted Ashbringer from old-Naxx (raided it weekly in TBC with 14 other pallies until we all got it).

Having been Horde my entire time in WoW, and then having rolled a Worgen, going back to Camp Taurajo after it's been burned really made me sad. Ridding it of looters felt like an immense justice and a final respect and seeing all the corpses of once beloved skinning trainers and flight masters really got to me.

I don't want to give spoilers, but I will say it involves Volcor and his bear companion, Grimclaw, in Darkshore.

That one almost made me shed a tear.

The old Darrowshire quest chain, which was made even more powerful by the Cranius song of the same name. I'm not sure if the chain survived the Cataclysm quest changes.

This.. I was sad when he died.

And I thought something that hit me hard and by suprise was the death of Dadanga (everytime I was in Ungoro Creater I would pick Bloodpetal Sprout for her) I found out the hard way running up to the old quest area after I picked 10 of her favorite food and I was unable to find her.. then I saw the grave. I was sad.

    R.I.P Dadanga

How can you say that zuni dying was sad? Man was I happy (and saw it coming) that he got killed.
    So annoying.

The quests at the end of the Horde line in Stonetalon Mountains. Stepping off the flight path and seeing the chieftain's wife's corpse laying there (after you were supposed to go to the overlord to plead for justice) was a real downer. Made me wish there was a daily that involved doing nasty things to a certain orc...being dropped off a cliff was too merciful.

The one where u get to kill the daughter of this big shot in dalaran because she was working for Malygos... but actually she was undercover, trying to stop the whole thing. You find a letter for his father when you loot her. Whole thing got me into tears, swear.

    Strength is something you earn.
    Rockin' Azeroth since Vanilla BETA.

Server first kill of Ragnaros (back in the day).
He's back for more. I'm gonna give it to him.

Little Pamela and her parents were a very well done chain. Also agree that Crusader Bridenbrad was a great chain in Wrath.

Either the new Alliance quest chain with Rheastrasza, where she sacrifices herself and her child to protect the uncorrupted black dragon egg, or the Emmy Malin quest in Dragonblight

That's a chain for both the Alliance and the Horde. The last quest in that chain was sad, but I still stand by The Sorrow and the Fury being worse. :c

The Darrowshire quest chain. That made me cry. Now, when I'm in EPL, I have Pamela's Doll so she can run around with me.
