Archaeology Race Interface Question

Anyone got any idea what the 10th slot in the UI race interface is?

There are 9 races but 10 slots. It's kinda bugging me looks like something with a pickaxe and shovel.

Perhaps a later addition in maybe Firelands patch?

Dunno i wonderd about that to but when i looked carefully at it it looked like the Explorer's League badge :S

I think the general consensus is that it's just a placeholder right now.

The profession was designed to be easily expandable, and to allow new races to be added fairly easily. I wouldn't read too much into the image itself, it's just a generic archaeology design.

That was my thoughts exactly. Another part of me was thinking if you collected every single artifact it unlocks to something cool but damn that's my imagination lol

I kinda hope its Pandarens, though with their abundance in-game, i wouldn't be surprised to see Ogres

Any info on this now that MoP is out? That slot is still open.
