And as for warlock heals I've played the best affliction and demo locks in my battlegroup afflictions dmg to heal ratio is insane and when fighting one of these top tier locks they take very little damage.
I can name any combo of rdps or mdps that if i was getting pounded on by both at the same time I'd be dead in 10 seconds too, whats your point? And more importantly, whats your partner doing while your getting jumped, eating popcorn and watching the devastating show of force, lol. Also what class is it that you play and are you one of the best at your particular class on your server?

Essentially nothing has changed. People go down just as fast as before "massive Cata health pools".

I'm the second best enhance shaman on my server and i currently run 2s with a feral druid waiting on some old teamates for 3s and 5s. And to serious pvpers this seems like a silly comp and we do have a lot of counters to our ccs besides cyclone and what not but we're still top ten in vindication. We've actually had trouble with this demo lock frost mage team that would just train either or and with the amount of ccs and stuns, its hard to do anything really. usually the feral gets focused and im left to hex the lock that will of course trinket and have to focus shear hand of guldan to prevent stuns and roots while focusing mage. they just do way to much damage and getting globallled is far too easy for them to pull off. double rof come on now

I have to admit, thats a comp with a tone of control, but thats just inherent with that comp. Mages singularly have way too much control and when added to a comp with a demo lock that has above average (not op) control also, that makes for a tough fight. I'm pretty sure you are facerolling most other comps because ferals are ridiculous right now and enhancement aint exactly underperforming right now either. If you are blaming the lock for this control, he is only probably 40 percent of that teams ability to control the fight.

all i hear is the game is hard now and that i have to try and not faceroll anymore....CC are a good thing makes PVP more fun to use your skills and not just trink and rape....

Yeah and yet When people in a pug see a non CC class they Kick them for no Reason besides that they "need" cc, and dont bring the "don't pug" excuse, pugs will always be in wow

  7. #47
main reason to cc lock and train mage is the locks demo form does way too much dmg and they kill the feral in seconds. and putting a mage under pressure is just perfect for that situation. doesnt give him time to freecast

true but getting globalled from cc is no skill at all, thats just following simple steps

I don't find CC too bad, it's INTERRUPTS which are out of control.

Counterspell needs a good nerf. 8 seconds of ice lance spam.

...but what happens when you can't interrupt or even CC due to class limitations?

The only class without an interrupt is Priests, so maybe give them one and call it a day?

Or maybe they should roll a melee/caster/dps comp instead of tsg or something like. It's not like melee is doing badly atm either.

Shadow has silence? And fear works as an interrupt.

They could tie stuns, fears and silences, etc into resilience. The more resilience you have, the shorter the stun, silence, fear root etc would be.

Also, damage is out of control compared to healing in pvp now, blizzard's going really wrong way doing this imo. Lets say, what's the point warlock self heals are healing equal same or even more than moonkin heals? Also as moonkin ya need to spam from full mana to zero to get full hp from 10%.

    It's a sad fact.

well, i think what they need to do is work on CC as a whole, for example, in pvp, being feared for 9 seconds is not to bright, let alone nova, trapped, hungering cold
another problem is 9 second disarms, i understand there is a need to disarm, but 9 seconds? i feel the warriors pain needing a weapon chain

i believe the best way to fix this is make the first CC 6 seconds, and from their share diminishing returns to all other CC for a set time, so i no longer have to be feared for 9 second, "ooh look i got feared, then sheeped, then rooted, then feared again, then sheeped again, novaed then iceblocked again" - edited cause of a slight error, enjoy

and thats not even including rogues, druids, priest silence, warrior hamstring proc and fear/prot stun lock, paladins, hunters

So basically nerf all cc by almost 50% then make it all share dr? Sounds real bright. You can't be sheeped in lichborne either. You have ams to make you immune to cc. If you are taking damage that breaks fear, you probably arent going to get polyd since that heals you right? Your argument is illogical and you don't even know the mechanics of your own class.

I was talking about an ACTUAL interrupt like Kick or Pummel that's on a relatively short CD.

    Paladin: Rebuke
    DK: Mind Freeze
    Mage: Counterspell
    Warlock: Spell Lock
    Hunter: Silencing Shot
    Shaman: Wind Shear
    Warrior: Pummel
    Druid: Skull Bash
    Rogue: Kick

Gotta admit, this part right here made me chuckle. Can't Polymorph undead sir.

    /facepalm

k i was making the point on how being chain CC'd is a problem, i was only stating 2 classes, mainly what you would see in bgs/arenas locks and mages, you do realize there are lots of classes that can CC that have 0 diminishing return if used right after another, mmochamp forums ftw

also, if you take a look in the mmo front page, down where they talk about classes and the section labeled PvP, they say

We’re also looking at crowd control, interrupts, and self-healing in PvP. It’s possible we’ll reduce the durations of some crowd control effects, especially the area effect ones, and decrease the duration of interrupts.

    change is a coming =D
