As a tank I ask people if they have done the boss before and state they will not be kicked for saying no.

I will then go over tactics of each boss just to make sure, takes 2 mins.

I'll do this just to stop a wipe as some people will say yes even if they haven't seen the boss on normal.

The amount of times I've been thanked is a lot, which means a little kindness goes a long way. However, people should read tactics for each boss if they can when they get to the boss. It takes 30 seconds to open wowhead, type in the name of the boss and read the green post.

Have been kicked for trying to tank cc'ed mobs even though they were not marked (they were in a guild and on vent) and have left rather than kick gogogogogogo dps as I can't be ar$ed with hearing them whine for 1-2 hours in a random.

Haven't kicked anyone in Cata yet.....

Leave them to die or ask the healer in /p not to heal them if they pull. This then puts the onus on the healer to act.

On the original subject, I just HATE HATE HATE it when I get removed from raids or groups (only for raids on my own server) so people can substitute in their own guildmates. I understand if you want to run w/ your guild but once you've gotten the group together imo it is very very rude to remove them just so one of your friends can come. If no one responds to you in guild and you finally pug someone in I would say to bad to anyone in my guild I don't want to be a jerk, you should have responded earlier if you wanted to come.

Before 85 Mana really isn´t an issue for healers. Healers who don´t heal Locks should reroll.

Love these "read up tactics before queueing" comments - yet the very same people claim later it's the MMO game in casuals, joining a guild and similar threads - yet sparing 30 sec to explain tactics to new people in dungeons is too much of interraction with other people in dungeon ! Yes, I'm not taking about raids but about simple dungeons with simple boss tactics !

You are worse than wrathbabies, only that instead of easy content to farm you want easy groups in dungeons that are 100% perfect in everything, so you don't have to waste you "precious" 30 sec to explain anything to them and try to socialise even a little with people you see for the first time. If you don't like how things are, you are the one who should go and do pure guild runs and stay away from lfd.

Would you start playing a sport with a bunch of people if you had NO idea how the sport was played. Then is it fair to them to have to spend time explaining the rules over and over for you?
Whilst it may seem "elitist" to some, remember there is 4 other people who may well have made that tiny bit of effort. It takes 5minutes, literally, just to find a site and browse through quickly. People *pay* to play WoW, they don't pay to hand-hold, babysit, or put up with people who cba to spend a few minutes doing so. Heck, the queue time is 45mins for dps, and yet most spend that time trolling trade or talking cack, then moan when they turn up to an instance totally unprepared and having no clue what to do.
Its not elitism, its not their responsibility to train/teach you, its yours. So sorry, I have no sympathy at all for people who wipe a group on a boss wasting time for others because they couldn't be bothered to spend a few minutes just taking a quick look at a site to get a vague understanding of how something works.

TL: DR version? Your job to learn fights, not anothers job to teach you.
SOMEONE has to figure this stuff out. That means at some point, a group went up against these bosses with no idea of what the mechanics were, and figured out how to do it. It's not that hard.

And honestly, what fight in a dungeon, particularly normals, is so hard that you have to read up on it ahead of time?

Here, I'll sum up 95% of dungeon bosses for you right now
    -Interrupt the boss's spells
    -Don't stand in the zone
    -Kill the adds

If there's something different, it takes all of 10 seconds to type.

Honestly, you ARE being elitist. If someone showed up that didn't know how to play a sport, I'd give them a crash course. They can learn on the fly. Most sports aren't really that complicated, especially if you're not playing at a professional level. Soccer? "You want to get the ball into the other team's goal, but you can't touch the ball with your hands or manhandle the other team, you have to use your feet; pass to other teammates and try and get the ball down the field to the opponent's goal. Each team has a goalie defending the goal, and they can use their hands." There, that's enough to get someone playing, and the rest of the rules can be explained as they come up. See? Not hard.

My shit story, Que up for Grim Bato(Normal)l, dungeon pops, the usual 1 dps with a ? over it, just before timeout hit the loading screen, Group is alright, Mages know to sheep, the healer is pretty good, the Deathknight, sorta falling behind, the mages doing around 8-10K dps average with the DK doing 3.9K, i think nothing of it, its only normal after all, Anyway, the trash before the first boss dies, and i can't beleive my eyes, Pauldrons of Edward the Odd, Beautiful Epic BOE Tank shoulders, (Even uses the paladin tier 11 model), Being the tank, i automatically hit need, And to my horror, the Deathknight also needs on them.... He wins, and automatically equips. I ask, Why the hell did you need them, they are tanking shoulders and you qued as DPS??, "Dey r dps shuldarz, betar for me than tank", to my instant reply, "Parry rating is a good DPS stat? Are you sure you fully understand Damage stats from others?", the healer comes back with, "Stfu nub tank they are dps shoulders go QQ moar" <You have been removed from the group>

I removed myself from a group because 3 guildies in an instance were trying to hold the run to ransom.

A warrior who was on follow for most of the first part of the instance, try to vote him out but can't get the majority to kick him. A healer who kept going brb therefore holding everyone up as no one could progress any further. Tried to remove him for being afk for nearly 10min but again no majority so we were stuck with it.

In the end I just thought sod it, I'm off. I'm just annoyed that most people think the run is about them and show no respect to the other people there. I can take people going afk for short periods if required but with the queues for dps it is highly unfair for someone to leach xp whilst on follow when there are many willing sat in the queue at the time and for an essencial member of the group to disappear for however long they want.

I have been removed from the group as the tank because a retadin wanted the shield from the last boss if it dropped and asked at the start of the run if I needed it. I said if it drops it's an upgrade so yes and I am the tank.
Silence then, you have been removed from group.
