So, where is Memebase in this? Is it the top or the bottom?

I know that when I first became interested in memes and such, memebase was the first site I went to. When I started to convert to reddit and visited both memebase and reddit at the same time, I noticed that a lot of the top posts on memebase were reposts off of reddit from the day before. The reason why redditors don't constantly rage about memebase is that they don't claim to be a source of original content. Reddit accepts that a lot of their best things are from 4chan, but 9gag reposts stuff off of reddit and acts like they were the sole creators of it, which is why they get so much hate.

If I were to give the major sites an order of joke/meme trickle-down, it would probably be 4chan -> Reddit -> Memebase/9gag -> the buzz saw of meme destruction that is facebook.

9gag is quite predictable. If you can slip yourself away from Harry Potter, Bear Grylls and Twilight jokes, and let's say you put something relevant to current events. Like a "And then I said XXXX" post (Old people laughing meme. Something about a gov. decision.) For 10 days, people flodded the site with same kinds of posts, like it was something completely awesome and original.

Still easy to follow though, I got dizzy trying to get used to reddit.

it's so painfully obvious that the "kid" was trolling everyone in the thread that it isn't even funny. the fact that people in this thread continued to get trolled by it is just sad.

The point is: Pretty much no one talks at the bus stops/during the bus rides. Except for kids. Loud kids. Annoying.
I dunno. Probably just a stereotypical Swedish problem.

i think the problem here is mostly that you get annoyed by kids beeing kids, at least when they are strangers and/or around you ;]
