I think I got off easy, spent $335 (though, most of my "books" were online so it was just a code I needed)

I would recommend trying loose leaf books and sticking them in a binder, it's about $50 cheaper than bound books .

if you do this, make sure to get one of those thick binders with a lever to open them. They're much sturdier and don't break as easily. I used normal circular non-lever binder back in High School, and I had a binder break on more than one occasion.

or if your school allows you to use a laptop, go to a copy center and ask them if they can scan your books. You are legally allowed (even by the DMCA) to have 1 copy of any media you own for backup purposes and/or personal use. If the difference between bound and loose leaf really is $50, you should still come out ahead.

Also, I notice that people are sometimes complaining that we just post comments without images. I mainly browse this thread, and the only image gallery I browse regularly is /r/WTF on reddit. And since that's mostly porn, gore and spider images, I can't quite justify risking a ban to post them here.
