I was wondering if it's possible to tank normal (or even heroic) dungeons in PvP gear. I have 3.4k ressilience wich equals 36% damage reduction.

Resilience only reduces dmg from players and player pets, so its absolutely useless in PvE

you can tank normal dungeons, at least the low level ones.
tanked a normal dungeon as holy paladin :P spam heal and run trough.
Tip:
Go try tanking heroics with pvp gear, if you die, blame the healer!

Resil is 100% useless in PvE despite all the "Pros" who use it.

I started tanking heroic with 3 piece of resilience, I don't recommend you to use only this gear but sometime its better than a low level gear.
Same with healing, I already did Lich King fight with full PVP gear.
It's working, but not the best choice.
