PvE, it's more social. I used to PvP in wrath all the time, then just did at least one BG per day....now it's unlikely for me to BG even once per week. Don't feel like gearing for that shit.

I dont got time for hardcore raiding anymore, and if u dont raid at a very high level its not even fun with PvE. So its definitly PvP for me now.
I love PvP in games where skill matters, not the items you obtained. Some popular RTS games, and very recently Starcraft II are especially great PvP games.
You can stop playing Starcraft for a year, come back and you will certainly have a fair amount of chance to beat your opponent if you are smart, skilled and aware. (Forgetting how to play is not the question here)
Try coming back to WoW pvp in 3 months = stupid amount of gear difference, unending class balance, easy comps and tricks, etc etc
OT: I hate WoW arenas, but BG's are more tolerable. I love PvE by heart. Thus for WoW, PvE>PvP
