Dispelling nothing

Why can i dispell Friendly/Unfriendly targets when there is nothing to dispell?
Blizzard made it like this so we could waste mana?
kinda annoying when am dispelling players and i dont know what i can dispell from them..

They did it so you dont mindlessly spam it like you obviously do now.

Exactly. If I remember correctly it was to rise the skillcap on pvp.

They did it intentionally so so don't just spam dispels. They want to make it something you have to be more aware of. Most raid frame addons will have a signal about whether there's a dispellable debuff on your raid members.

Very easily fixed with a TINY bit of effort... Oh noes!

Yep. In fact, so does the default, if you go to Options -> Interface -> Buffs and Debuffs and check the Dispellable Debuffs box.

This also had the side effect of making mass dispel dispel on random targets so if you hit over 10 players with it and only some of them are debuffed you're not guaranteed to hit the debuffed players. It's really stupid.
