enha pvp glyphs and talent choices

does using glyph of shamanistic rage activate the spell effect from things like the silence from UA or the fear from VT? kinda seems gimpy to me if i use it to just remove dots, considering its on a 1min cd and they can just reapply dots, seems like the main reason i would pop that cd is for damage reduction, considering shamans are usually the kill target. why not pick up these talents: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#hbhGZfcG0kbGRGo:Rqkrodm0c
2 points into earthen power(not just removing your snares but everyone's!), 1 into static shock for extra dps, and your freeing up a major glyph spot for either the hex cd or shields, depending on which ever one you didnt have.

If you don't like it don't use it. It's essentially a 1-minute CoS and every good shaman is going to take it. It dispels HoJ, Deep Freeze, Novas etc.. if you don't glyph it you're a fool. It's better for the UA silence to be on you than your healer, even with the UA nerf.
