Best spec for heroics and early raiding?

Alright

So far i've only done PvP in Cataclysm, but i want ot start on some raiding and therefore has to start grinding some HCs for gear

Question is, what spec is favorable in heroics and maybe early raiding?

Pretty sure Destro and Demo are pretty beast. Destro for single target and Demo for more AoE. Not a lock, but these are observations of another caster deeps (:

I've not played a warlock in a while, but so far I've seen destruction warlocks doing good DPS and demonology seems to be rather good when it comes to AOE.

They are all good. Personally I just go affliction and use Soul Swap on cooldown which ends up being quite nice.

Affliction currently, but if you don't have a class that can bring Replenishment, I'd suggest Destruction.

Just play the specc that you like. They are not that different in dps.

PvE-wise you'll bring in +SP as a Demo lock and +replenishment as Destro.

I don't understand why people come here asking what they need to play. Does Demo dps suck, but is it something you enjoy playing, well...Play it! It's an example btw, demo dps doesn't suck :P But people used to say to me that Demo sucked, a long time ago, but I liked that specc the most, so I played it

Affliction and destruction are pretty comparable, depending on your personal play style. Demo has some deficiencies in single-target fights, which is actually a large portion of heroic bosses, but the loss isn't that huge.

Basically, if you know what you're doing and actually read up on PvE specs, gear setups and spell priorities, you're already a step above the vast majority of people pugging heroics. Once you get to raids you should ideally go as whatever spec your raid setup needs.

For heroics: demo. ( afk and let pet lolstorm ftw)
For raids: depends on fights.
