is it worth buying the crafted resil set for a Death knight prior to getting bloodthirsty set?

Yeah.

It's not that much gold and it's a big help. I'm still using 2 pc bloodthirsty and rest crafted pvp gear myself. Compared to my lock with full pvp gear its 3k resil lock, 2700 DK. Not a huge difference.

If you're lazy about farming honor it's nice.

well what pvp gear can you get with 0 honor and what not?
its a good start. Gives you some pvp utility before actually getting in a battle ground. sounds worth it to me.
