Learning to become a teach History / English. My prof once sent me a youtube channel of video's that are both musical and educative. http://www.youtube.com/user/historyteachers#p/u
Every song is historical correct and some cover a lot of information that students / adults should know.

This a tribute by the Dubliners for the fall of the Soviet Union. Unfortunately it doesn't have a code to allow me to post the video on here, so you'll have to follow the link.

I'm not able to post videos yet, but basically any song by Sabaton. Most of them have to do with historical wars, such as Uprising(about the Polish revolt against the Germans in WW2), Talvisota(about the Winter War between Finland and Russian), White Death(about the most prolific sniper in military history), Wolfpack(about a specific U-Boat attack on an Allied convoy), Ghost Division(Rommel), and many more.

Gettysburg is pretty good. I laughed so hard the first time I heard it when they started the solo.

my favorite has got to be that time when our sun was dying and we sent a crew of astronauts and scientists there to do a job. a job where they would sacrifice everything just to reach a single goal, a goal that would redeem mankind.

I'm really glad my little made on a whim thread took off!

Truth be told, the idea came to me while I was listening to Iced Earth.

Here is another really good one.
Virgin Steele - The Burning of Rome (Cry for Pompeii)

War of 1812 always makes me laugh, the song is funny but also google "Who won the war of 1812" and try to find a straight awnser, seriously. Who the hell won that war?
