we've been having the same problem, the solution is very easy. let ur tank make a macro with a target and a taunt he can spam, this doesn't always work since the damage is so quick, but avoiding is really easy: use fade, threat reduction, feign death... or just run out and get out of melee range, that's the easiest. have you're tnak count down when the head is going up again and at 3, run out and 2 secs after it's up, tank should have threat and u can get back to nuking

    "Tricks/Misdirection/Taunt Quick" ?????

All the tank need to do is stand on the edge where he starts the fight and the boss will hit HIM instead of the melee that were obviously standing in the wrong spot while they were supposed to be near his head during the impale phase.

if they don't do that, the boss will attack/kill one of them before he even gets targettable.
"Next-Gen" is only a marketing label and not an actual advancement in the Graphics side of games, so quit fooling yourself.

Posting from work so got distracted by customers before I saw your post, sounds like an excellent suggestion to.

People should just stop spreading false info, if you are not sure how that works say SO, don't come here like "it is indeed that way" or whatever, there is no aggro reset, a simple addon should show that for you if u still have any doubt.

We do this only we have everyone stay out until the first pillar hits just to be safe. Once the pillar is down everyone except the kiter heads back to melee range and we continue on as normal.
What do you think about the season 7 shaman set?
It looks like what would happen if one of those big rock giants from Outlands mated with Spiderman.

There's a agrro reset following Point of Vulnerability. To combat this having everyone hold off on DPSing for a moment and stay out of melee range until the tank gets a hold on Magmaw, I usually move into melee range as a tank with 5 seconds left on the Point of Vulnerability. As a tank I can remark that this is twitchy, and you'll need taunt to actually pull him, as grabbing him with a snap threat ability is uncomfortable and doesn't seem to work. After a few seconds the tank should have enough threat for everyone to get into position before the first pillar following the Point of Vulnerability.

    Stand far away, problem solved.
