Mandala of Stirring Patterns for shadow priests?

Now with the changes to Mandala of Stirring Patterns, is it worth picking it up as shadow?
VE should be able to proc it and as spellpower scales on a 0,7 of int, the should be a way better trinket than Stump of Time.
Any thoughts?
Any testing from the ptr?

I really doubt that VE will be able to proc it since that is an effect of damage done.
But hey, I would gladly be wrong tho!

Doesn't proc off VE/DP so pointless for shadow.
