Anyone else think that there is something sneaky about Nero? Possibly seems that he could be behind the home invasions for some reason. When he mentioned he had been out of the game for a while something sounded fishy.

They haven't gotten into the home invasion storyline much yet, but there have been a couple hints to who the perpetrators are. No idea why they're after what it appears they were after, though, or if they're acting on behalf of some other person.

I think Nero's up to no good, playing Jax, but not sure what his angle is. He couldn't really have known that Gemma would be volunteering his place as a hideout.

Poor Opie. I accidentally checked on this thread before watching the episode, so I knew, and I don't think that made it any easier, watching the whole setup and deliberation was wrenching. And the deed was a gut punch.

The man lost his wife and his father. Still shocked he didn't think more about his kids before going in. I don't think it was his plan to die.

He havent seemd to care much about anything since she died tbh.
But we havent seen much from him in the recent episodes, some snippets here and there.

I think they gave Opie a really nice sendoff in that last episode. It was cool to see the whole cast there.

Big ups (or whatever) for Tara!! The queen has arrived! Gemma may see herself on the outs with the club... Jax has bigger fish to fry. I'll be interested to see where the clubs deal with Nero goes, and what Pope is gonna pull next.

That whole scene was riotous. The bit where they were explaining how "we've all been there" to the stepson with Chibs excitedly yelling "two dicks!" while making the "blowjob" gesture with each hand had me in stitches. Also, love the in-joke. For those who didn't watch The Shield, or those who forgot this bit, the alias Walton Goggin's character used twice on The Shield was "Cletus Van Damme". He's now been Cletus AND Venus Van Damme, love it.

As for Opie, yeah, it sucked, but I kinda saw it coming. He's basically been really down for a long time, he never fully got over losing Donna, then his breakup with the pornstar, then the loss of Piney, and the reveal it was Clay...I'm pretty sure he wanted to die as well. And this way, he did it as a warrior, he went out fighting and protecting the club, rather than just eating his gun.

They made a point of telling us that one of the new guys (transfers, whatever, I'm not sure which SAMC they're from or what happened to it) has an artificial leg, and showing us that one of the burglars had an artificial leg.

No, I get why hitting yourself lessens the suspicion on yourself, what I meant was what's he after?

He might just be stirring shit up to make Jax's life at the head of the table harder, I get that, but it seemed to the viewer like the burglars were interested in retrieving what was in the safe. If Clay's in charge, he would know damn well what was in his own house safe and have access to it. I'm not saying there isn't some potential benefit to having your safe go missing, just musing on what his angle could be, given the scenes we've seen.

I wouldnt put it pass clay to set this up to where he can use it to spark a war with another rival gang for his benefit in the future, his character is whats best for him not the club or anyone else.

Most people probably look at it as they get what they deserve. They're really unsympathetic characters. Shows like this and Sopranos, Breaking Bad etc are all about rooting for the bad guy. I think that's what makes them so compelling.
