I don't know, maybe I'm lucky, but I've gotten a constant 9+ on my transmuter every day since he was able to transmute living elements, but I do believe that they nerfed the chance for big procs, and increased the chance for small procs.

Seems to be about a 75% chance for extra elements, granting 3-6 at each proc. Frankly, I liked the old version more- it actually felt like I was getting a noticeable increase from my mastery. Now it's just, meh 3-4 volatiles, who cares?
It procs more often, but for less. Simple as that really. Since the patch I've been getting procs around 50% of the time.

"I wanted to hop in and clarify and confirm there was in fact a change that was implemented with the patch that unfortunately did not make the patch notes.
The change actually adjusted the return on the transmutes so that you weren't getting spikes in the amount of items you'd get from the transmute. Instead, if you transmute over a period of time, the amount of the transmute return should even out.
So basically if you transmute on a regular basis, you should see a more regular return on the transmute vs. a spike in large returns. Transmutation specialists will almost always get a PROC when transmuting living elements."

On my alt who I rarely play, this is just an easy way to make a few hundred quick gold every day in about 15 seconds.
1. Buy 15 life from the AH for 150g
2. Transmute and get 20 herbs that sell for 400g.
log out.
For awhile, I was keeping him camped in Uldum so I would get volatile air.. but now the price of some of the others are almost as much as air, so it doesn´t even matter.
