Picture this - a battleground. A map, really, let's say the Barrens. The Horde side on one end and the Alliance on the other. Scripted events between combatants, with mary-sue powerhouse heroes smashing up nameless soldiers and enemy commanders.

Battle for the Barrens (Horde)

Objective - Hold back the Alliance invasion and defeat King Varian Wrynn!

Victory condition - Varian Wrynn is defeated.
Defeat condition - Garrosh Hellscream is defeated.

Allied layout -

General - Garrosh Hellscream

Officers - Varok Saurfang
Baine Bloodhoof
Warlord Bloodhilt
Saranok the Mystic
Warlord Zaela
High Examiner Tae'thelan Bloodwatcher
Captain Krazz

Lieutenants - Bunch of minor characters of quest giver fame

Force - 8k Orcish army
- 4k Tauren army
- 2k Forsaken army
- 2k Goblin army
- 1k Blood Elf army

The player takes control of a selection of characters in "free mode", and characters with their own relevance and reason for being there in "story mode". LEt's say we're playing free mode, so pretty much anyone from the franchise - let's say Tirion Fordring.

The player goes about smashing the Alliance up, taking down massive amounts of enemies with some overpowered techniques a la Dynasty. Allied and enemy reinforcements showing up, bosses have special abilities, say Jaina and Varian as the final boss fight. Weapon upgrades, mounts (obviously), technological warfare, special conditions for real-time tactics, the works.

I think something like this would be the logical place to take Warcraft after the MMO finishes. We know that a) this sort of shit is hugely popular, and b) so is Warcraft, which with its overpowered characters and massive cast, would fit perfectly into theDynasty scene.

What do you think? Is something like this inconceivable or could it make them even more millions?
