    Question about EVGA motherboards

Hey guys im going to be building a new rig and I just had a question. I have been looking at a couple different ones and have been curious when im on EVGA's site it doesn't tell me a LGA just says this board takes Intel X58/ICH10R chipset and supports i7 which will be what I pick up I just want to make sure that it will fit so far I looked and only one i7 I think has a LGA at 1156 and not 1366 so will this board take both 1156 and 1366 since it supports i7 and a intel chipset or maybe if someone can see the LGA on this board. Sorry if its a nub question :P

Don't have to look at the website, you said it's an x58/ICH10R chipset, that's LGA 1366 only.

What processor are you looking to buy?

    Thanks a ton

and right now its between the i7 950 or the i7960 other then the 950 being at 3.06GHz and the 960 being at 3.2Ghz I don't see much of a difference

Price. i7 960 isn't worth it, go with the i7 950, it's cheaper, runs a little cooler and will overclock better than the 960.

Another motherboard you should check out is the Asus Sabertooth x58 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-665-_-Product) or the Asus P6X58D-E (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131641).

Edit: MSI Big Bang XPower is another solid choice for an enthusiast board (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130289)

Yeah I was leaning more to the 950 for that reason it was cheaper and wouldn't be a big performance boost and thanks I will def check those motherboards out,
